25th May 2023 (2 years ago)Arrogance at the highest level! Was informed 24 hrs prior that my valuation had to be moved as a staff meeting was more important. Already booked the day off so fuming at the complete dis regard of this outfit. Completely unprofessional and extremely arrogant in my opinion!!!! Lesson learned!!!

Nothing was too much trouble for her. I could not of been happier and should I decide to sell in the future I would have no hesitation in using Robin Jessop and asking for Lauren.

25th Jul 2018 (7 years ago)Honestly, if I could lower the stars any further, I would. These guys are absolutely terrible. They threatened my tenants with harassment, told me the property wasn’t damaged when it was (they hadn’t been to see it). They then tried to rent it damaged (severely) for four months before they rented it. The new tenants then informed me durectly about the damage and I had to get it fixed. they then ripped me off upon exit of contract due to their breach Every tenant I had complained about their service and poor communication. It took a month to find out the tenants were having issues at some points. Do not go with these guys as you just get ripped off, lose rental return and end up managing it yourself regardless. I have since had to take them to court for the losses.

16th Feb 2026 (16 days ago)From the beginning, communication was poor. Calls and emails were ignored, updates were not provided unless I chased repeatedly, and I often felt completely in the dark about what was happening with my own property. Basic professionalism and proactive communication were simply not there. What is most frustrating is that a perfectly viable sale appears to have been sabotaged by a lack of competence and care. Key information was either delayed or poorly handled, follow-ups with the buyer were not managed properly, and issues that could have been resolved quickly were allowed to escalate unnecessarily. Instead of guiding the process smoothly, the agent created confusion and tension. There was no sense of urgency, no strategic negotiation, and no accountability when things started to fall apart. Rather than taking responsibility, I was met with excuses and deflection. Selling a property is stressful enough without having to micromanage the very person you are paying to represent your interests. I expected expertise, diligence, and professionalism. Unfortunately, I received the opposite. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before instructing this agency.

I was always kept in the loop from my agent Claire Smith, and even when she wasn’t in the office the level of service was maintained to her exacting standard. My thanks to everyone. I have experience of buying and selling with Gowland white and they are the best, will definitely use again.
19th Feb 2026 (13 days ago)Absolutely terrible experience Ignored all my calls then when I finally got through Carolyn promised I would be the first to view the property. Promised an email of confirmation of time date of viewing then never bothered sending it. Then ignored my calls and emails for 2 days and then listed the property as under offer. Who treats potential tenants like this? Absolutely recommended and i will tell others about my experience

30th Jan 2026 (5 weeks ago)We bought our house through Paul and moved in just after Christmas. If we were to sell, we would be more than happy to go with him, as we could see that he looked after our seller, but was just as fair with us as the buyer! He was honest and upfront from day one and there were no games - which is refreshing when you’re buying or selling a house. Especially helpful when you’re doing both at the same time! This meant that we could make well informed and quick decisions without worrying about losing time or money, and get on with the process quickly. The deal was done and there was no back and forth or being messed about on either side. Communication was instant at all times, and he was the go between for both sides, as our sellers had already moved from the area. The level three survey we had done found an issue with the roof that was not obvious or visible at all and which our sellers had no idea about. Paul helped both sides handle that smoothly despite it being the middle of winter when we had snow, rain and wind. A repair was done that went above and beyond, and we were sent photos and videos which reassured us, and he exchanged messages between both sides. We first saw Paul on one of his YouTube videos and didn’t really know what to think! In real life he is much taller (!) and is just as friendly. Paul and his team are professional, plain talking and really good to work with. If you like a personal service, like to be organised and need people who do what they say they will, you’ll absolutely love using his services.
