Process when we bought the house was very simple from a Peter Clarke side with deposit returned quickly after the process concluded and no additional paperwork required our side.

27th Apr 2024 (1 year ago)Not impressed with my experience as a potential seller or purchaser. Would give them a lot less than 1 star if it was possible. We had a valuation over a month ago, agent could not give us a valuation at the time and had to speak to her boss and heard nothing since. Really odd since they had sold another almost identical house 2 roads away away 2 or 3 weeks earlier? When queried during my potential purchase viewing was told they had e-mail issues I can only assume they did not have a phone, clearly they didn't want the business? Thankfully we booked 2 valuations that day and chose the other agent who not only gave us a valuation whilst he was here we were also given more confidence in the service on offer. It was the right decision as we sold in a week, but the one shipways sold took about 3 months or so. I made an offer as a purchaser which was increased as I was told by the agent it would be accepted. Then I was asked to increase further so it would be taken off the market as I wasn't sold but they knew this when the offers were made, and it was even on the offer email. A couple of days later when I was sold and after a week of being given the run around by the agent who would be in meetings, viewings and other calls when I tried to contact her I decided to withdraw my offer as could no longer trust what I was being told. Whilst I understand they have to be led by the vendor honesty and trust should be integral to any negotiation. Not sure how you would know the sellers thoughts and movements if you can't contact them?
11th Nov 2024 (6 mo. ago)My wife and I viewed a property with Dixons and,despite not purchasing the property, we had the pleasure of a tour with Amanda K. Amanda was polite, friendly, and personable and above all (which I found refreshing) was she was knowledgeable about the property. Amanda had all details to hand and shared this without us having to prompt. We were treated with a level of enthusiasm and freshness like we were the 1st viewers of the property that day, not the 4th or 5th (or the 10th that week). After multiple viewings with several agencies in Redditch, Amanda really stood out as a friendly person who showed care for us as a client viewing the property (and the property itself). If you want someone who clearly loves their job to sell your home, I would recommend Amanda at Dixons in Redditch. She really is a credit to the group.

I've found the service and the communication to be exemplary. I was kept constantly informed of all progress. Jeremy himself helped me a great deal with various complications in the transaction that occurred with both the building of the new house and the legal side of the transaction. I have continued to seek advice on further property matters since and I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to anyone buying or selling. I certainly see them as 'trusted advisors'. Great service.

Organised a viewing for an industrial unit & was told by the agent at the viewing that we’d stand a good chance at securing by offering close to or asking price, as there’d been plenty of low ball offers. We liked the property so offered asking price the day after for a quick sale. Sent offer in via email as requested on Friday morning. The property had just come back to market after being under offer for nearly a year and buyer pulled out. Rung up on Monday to chase our offer and magically there had been several other offers in the space of a day! I Was having trouble getting through to the managing agent so sent emails asking for him to call me back. He wouldn’t call me back, just kept replying via email so I had to keep calling the office till he had no choice but to speak to me and explain the situation. In the end , I refused to have my full asking price offer with the offer of proof of funds to be used as a yard stick. Poor form and looking at previous reviews , seems to be common practice.

Mandy and Sarah Jane take the time to understand prospective buyers and why they are interested in our property. So we didn't need too many viewings to achieve the sale! Harts also went the extra mile in providing viewing feedback, and following up with the conveyancers to help conclude to sale. Recommended.

Russell Patterson has most certainly shattered this perception in his handling of the sale of our house. His patience and courtesy over an unexpectedly long 18 month period (due to market conditions) were much needed. The continuity of communication with a single person throughout the process cannot be commended highly enough. Russell and his team were always reassuring when things looked grim and we wholeheartedly recommend them for their truly professional service.
