9th Sep 2025 (7 mo. ago)I would definitely recommend Thomas if you are looking for a brilliant estate agent. His knowledge, communication and feedback went above and beyond what I had ever expected. He answered any queries which I had very promptly .....he gave me excellent advice from our first point of contact. Thomas and Kellie offered ideas to 'tweek' certain aspects of my property to make it more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.....which obviously helped as he achieved a sale within four weeks!!! Well done to Thomas and his staff at Essex Guild Homes!!!

27th Sep 2024 (1 year ago)This is the 4th time I have had the pleasure of moving house, and the first time it has really and truly been a pleasure, the whole process from start to finish was expertly managed by the WW team. The whole thing simplified to such a point that I forgot most of the time that I was going through the process. The friendly polite nature of all the staff who would keep me informed as, when or even before I needed to know or do something was a pleasure to behold. Thx so much for making something that I thought was going to be so difficult SSSOOO easy.

She made the entire process feel smooth and stress-free, and we are so grateful for her dedication and hard work! A big thank you as well to Adam Brittain, Senior Property Advisor, whose knowledge, guidance, and professionalism made such a difference. He was always helpful and reassuring throughout the journey. And of course, Freya Tilbury, Trainee Property Advisor,our very first point of contact! Freya was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful from the moment we stepped in to view the property. She set the tone for what turned out to be an amazing experience with this team. Truly an exceptional group of people who go above and beyond! They provided advice on realistic pricing and marketed the property well, securing interest and negotiating a very fair offer. When we encountered a problem with a severe water leak during the cold weather in January, our Agent, Dean Ellis, played a key role in getting the property repaired while retaining the buyer's interest. Dean really went the extra mile for us, arranging contractors, allowing contractor access to the property for us and monitoring/ emptying the dehumidifiers as it dried out. Thanks to Dean the sale was completed on 9th March.

Also used Hunt Roche 20 years ago when bought house that we just sold. Haven't changed in all those years would strongly recommend

15th Apr 2026 (19 days ago)If I could give zero I would! I’d never rent via Ayers ever again and would never recommend to anyone! The branch in Southend on sea has some very rude staff with no people skills! We rented a flat that had been newly done up on the understanding that there was no issues with it… on the day we moved in there was noticeable water damage to a wall in the main bedroom which we immediately called the office they sent out a builder who told us there was water damage to the external wall and to draw round it with a pen! Over that year we reported more and more problems where we got sent a builder who kept saying we will talk to the landlord but nothing got done! The landlord took over £400 from our deposit because of this issue and over a month after we handed the keys back we’ve been hit with another bill that isn’t our fault and to make it worse it was an email not even a phone call! Overall your staff are rude and don't know how to communicate or even do their jobs correctly! As someone who has rented through a couple of different estate agents I am deeply disappointed, angered and disgusted with how we are being dealt with!
6th Apr 2026 (28 days ago)Our son purchased a flat that was being marketed by Island Homes from their branch on Dock Head Road in Chatham and from the initial viewing with Molly and the subsequent re-visits with Harry to the overall conveyancing process with Shane who was our link with the seller's solicitor; the whole process was handled with an excellent degree of professionalism and efficiency; something that can't be said for our solicitor buts that another story!!! I would certainly recommend Island Homes for any sale or purchasing enquiries.

I dealt with Kerrie and the rest of the team in the office, and they were all incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. They supported me from start to finish and made the sale as smooth as possible. I couldn’t be happier with the service provided and will definitely be using them again in the future.

27th Mar 2026 (5 weeks ago)THE RUDEST ESTATE AGENT I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS IN MY LIFE! Usually you would expect to be welcomed to to a property you are looking to buy, invited to park on the drive so you can see what it would be like to live there. Not Claudia Romano, who arrives 1 minute before the appointment, shouting out of her car door, "I'M THE ESTATE AGENT SO I GET TO PARK THERE!". And then, once we have driven around and finally found somewhere to park, has the cheek to tell us that we're late and we will not have a full appointment - when we were there first! Prospective sellers - avoid at all costs!!!
10th Apr 2026 (24 days ago)Previous sales/purchases with other agents have shown a stark comparison to what we have experienced with our recent purchase with BEAR in Leigh on sea. Communication has often been poor and at times abrupt. We had to constantly prompt and chase for information and basically progressed the purchase ourselves. On collection of our keys it felt like a big anti climax...we were handed our key in a scrappy envelope..no card. On ALL of our other sales/purchases we received a card and even a bottle of wine. We will not be recommending BEAR in Leigh. We would however recommend Hunt Roche in Thorpe Bay, they were absolutely excellent.
14th Apr 2026 (20 days ago)We haven't had to go through the nightmare of moving house for over forty years but we survived the emotional roller coaster this time round thanks to Stanton Hockett. Not easy for two eighty year olds I must admit who simply want to go live near their daughter up north! We approached the move with trepidation but their approach from the outset was totally re-assuring and empathetic. Tom started the ball rolling with his no fuss approach and we then graduated to the big guns, Brad & Gavin, after they found us a young couple to buy our treasured family home. They might have been a dating agency so suited to us were our young buyers. As apparently often occurs our journey through the legal processes to exchange and completion took us between peaks of elation to valleys of frustrated despair and back again but they were there to support us when we needed it. Thank you Tom and Lewis, thank you Gavin and most of all thank you Brad for your impeccable service to us in the sales progression stage. We are on our way now and feeling a whole lot better about our future.
27th Apr 2026 (7 days ago)I was recommended to Balgores Estate Agents, Wickford office by my friend Liz, and despite a hard long slog to sell my parents home I am greatful she did and I cannot fault the service that the Balgores team provided. The sale suffered several setbacks and numerous delays, all outside the control of Balgores, but despite this the team dusted themselves off every time and renewed their efforts. Special mention to both Ewan and Georgia for excellent communication and sheer bloody-minded perseverance getting us over the line. For professionalism and customer service I would highly recommend Balgores.
