20th Oct 2025 (11 mo. ago)Used Ashtons as was a prospective buyer of a property they marketed. Not so many issues with the office but the sales progression team were always quite slow to respond and could never get through to the assigned person to my case. Additionally used ashtons to sell my property and I feel compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience. The problems began immediately. The agency provided an initial valuation to secure our business in July, only to suggest a £25,000 price reduction after just one week, admitting there was no interest. Despite agreeing to the reduction, it did not correlate to an increase in activity which would lead to questions around marketing and resource as Ashtons list a lot of properties. By September, they had only managed to secure two viewings. We received absolutely no feedback from either of these viewings, despite requesting it, leaving us completely in the dark. Lastly thier fees are quite opaque and if youre new to selling read through everything very carefully. In the non flex fees there are baked in withdrawal fees that ensure ashtons get paid regardless if they sell or not. Which gives them little incentive to really push your property in my opinion. The alternative is you pay money up front to them to sell your property which is preposterous. Fundamentally all the agents use rightmove to market your property and that's where most people go to find houses. In summary: an inaccurate valuation, negligible effort, a complete lack of communication, and a devious fee structure designed to charge you even when they fail to perform.

Have to say that the guy did not come across as being very helpful and unlikely to use their services in going forwards and will take my business elsewhere.

From keeping me up to date with what is going on with the sale, solicitors to answering any and all questions I have had. Cannot recommend them enough, if I had to do this all again I would 100% pick Haart!

The team were friendly, approachable, reliable and easy to communicate with, and they were always accessible whenever we needed assistance or clarification.<br><br>A special thank you to James and Greg, our sales consultant, who was extremely helpful, professional and supportive throughout the process. Communication and follow-up made the transaction much easier and gave us confidence that things were progressing as they should.<br><br>We particularly appreciated the team's regular follow-ups and proactive communication. They were always willing to help and kept the process moving, which made what can otherwise be a stressful property transaction considerably more manageable.<br><br>The only minor area where I felt there could have been an improvement was at the point of completion. Although we were provided with the keys, it would have been even better if a member of the team had accompanied us to the property and walked us through the house. I was advised to go with one of the bigger chains, but from the first meeting, Linzi felt so much more personable, genuine and honest. I immediately felt comfortable with her and knew I was making the right choice. My property sold within just 48 hours of going on the market, which was amazing in itself! I also asked if I could take my own photos for the listing, and Linzi was completely accommodating. Throughout the whole process, pretty much anything I asked for, she did everything she could to help. The sale became a little complicated along the way, but Linzi went above and beyond, including communicating with the solicitors and helping to keep everything moving. She was always approachable, helpful and reassuring, and I genuinely felt like she cared about getting the best outcome for me rather than just making a sale. Selling a property can be stressful, but having someone you trust makes such a difference. I’m so glad I went with Linzi rather than one of the larger chains. 5th Aug 2026 (8 weeks ago)One call undertook a complete refurbishment of my one bedroom flat - new kitchen, bathroom, lights, doors, plaster work, redecorating. Super reliable and high quality job pretty much on time (the heatwave slowed work a few days which is understandable). No nasty surprises when a couple of unavoidable issues popped up and I made a few new choices - I was always fully aware of cost and timetable. Highly recommended.

The service I have received has been outstanding and I am impressed with the “due diligence” they have undertaken. Giving the changing legislation affecting landlords, I feel confident that IW Estates will ensure compliance with the law. I also expect that my tenants will have confidence that issues arising with the property they are renting will be dealt with in a timely manner. My point of contact is Ellie Smith and she has been outstanding in terms of advising me, creating new tenancy agreements and meeting my tenants. I know that she is supported by others in IW Estates and my thanks go to them as well as to Ellie. In summary, in my view, a highly professional Company who do everything “by the book” and deserve to do well in the highly competitive lettings business.
