13th Apr 2026 (21 days ago)I’m writing this on behalf of a friend to share a really disappointing and concerning experience with Knight Frank regarding a rental property in Bracknell/Lyndhurst. The property was originally listed at £3,000 pcm. My friend offered the full asking price but was told the landlord wanted to wait as it had just come on the market. Fair enough. Two months later, the price dropped to £2,800, and she again offered the asking price. At that point, she was asked to provide very personal financial information, including bank statements. Despite complying (with sensitive details redacted), the offer was rejected — with no explanation given. When she asked for feedback, the agent simply didn’t respond. Since then, the monthly rent has reduced further to £2,650. What’s more concerning is that when someone else viewed the property presenting as a “family unit,” they were strongly encouraged to make an offer. This raises serious questions about fairness and transparency in how applicants are being treated. Please note that they did not do any credit checks, and my friend is my boss and earns significantly more than I do. Also her children are in boarding school. So she can afford the rent. No one expects to be guaranteed a property, but basic professionalism, communication, and honesty should be the minimum standard. Ignoring applicants after requesting sensitive personal data is unacceptable. This experience felt dismissive, opaque, and potentially discriminatory. At the very least, applicants deserve clear communication and respect throughout the process. I would strongly advise others to proceed with caution.
4th Mar 2026 (9 weeks ago)I sold my home in October 2025 and purchased my new home in Jan 2026 and from start to finish Julie and Robbie were exceptional going above and beyond to do the best for me. I highly recommend using them, and if you I need to move again in the future they will be my first port of call. Thanks guys x
26th May 2025 (11 mo. ago)Whilst the individuals who work here can be very nice, their enforcement of actioning requests to the landlord to fix issues is sub par, and the landlords they take on are not always nice people. Before taking on the property they promised all carpets and issues with the property would be fixed, they were never even attempted to be fixed. Scaffolding went up all round the property with zero warning, all walkways looked directly into the property. Nothing was explained that there was issues with the roof. Also lost access to parking space that came with the property due to scaffolding placement. Was told it would be up 3-4 weeks maximum however was still there 4 months later when I moved out. Downstairs tenants had major damp issues in their property which the landlord refused to fix. Extremely loud tenants in the property with no action from the landlord to stop it. Drugs being sold in downstairs property, no action from the landlord. Due to insufficient insulation was extremely cold and wind blew throughout, and also meant when roof was worked on everything in storage spaces got covered in debris. Eventually got cleaned after weeks of begging. Did nothing after I received very aggressive phone call directly from the landlord as to when I enquired about the scaffolding and lack of parking. Once again, nice people, but bad management and clientele.
22nd Feb 2026 (10 weeks ago)I had an extremely disappointing experience with the rental agency. I was a tenant with them for five years, during which they conducted quarterly inspections. On each visit, no significant issues were ever raised, and I was never informed of any major concerns regarding the condition of the property.<br><br>However, at the end of my tenancy, they suddenly presented an excessive number of alleged issues and proceeded to deduct over £1,600 from my deposit — ultimately returning nothing at all. This was both shocking and deeply frustrating, particularly given the lack of prior complaints throughout my tenancy. The situation feels unfair and unjustified, especially after maintaining a long-term and seemingly trouble-free rental history with them.- 16th Apr 2026 (18 days ago)Ashleigh Ive was outstanding in our purchase. We’ve had a lot of experience with estate agents, from either looking to rent, buy, or living in a property that’s for sale with frequent viewings, and Sandra has been the best by a mile. It was refreshing to have such a friendly estate agent who knows so much about the property (when you’re usually met with “I’m not sure”), and she discussed in depth what you could do with the property on a human level without any forced selling, plus a bonus was she had knowledge of the area too. His communication has been excellent, always available, and very easy to talk to, especially when it comes to dealing with any questions or issues along the way. He’s made the whole process feel much less stressful, and you can tell he really knows what he’s doing. Honestly, I wish everyone had an estate agent like Cameron. He’s a huge credit to the company! 7th Apr 2026 (27 days ago)We have just had what I can only describe as a traumatic experience with this estate agent, they are absolutely appalling. Daniel Lowry did the valuation which was ok. His wife Julie staged the house which was fine. Niche did the photography & they were great. Richard did all the viewings & he was great. Then we accepted an offer & Jeremy was assigned ’Sales Progressor’ which I assume is an ironic title because I have never encountered anyone so ill-equipped to progress anything in my life. His only discernible talent appears to be sending utterly pointless WhatsApps. We accepted an offer in July of 2025 & despite J telling us in September & October that we were about to exchange contracts, several times (but no other detail) our solicitor then informed us on November 4th that there had been ‘no written communication from our buyers buyer since July’. When we called J to discuss this he went from being defensive to aggressive - blaming absolutely anyone & everyone but taking no responsibility what-so-ever himself. He suggested it was the fault of our buyers, their solicitors, our buyers buyer, their estate agents…absolutely anyone but him! He told us that ‘you are not the only one to be lied to here, I’ve been lied to as well!!’ A breathtaking lack of self awareness & he ended the conversation not with an apology as we had expected, no - he told us our buyers estate agents had been ‘b - ———-ing him!’ I have had the misfortune of dealing with a number of unprofessional & untrustworthy individuals in my time but Jeremy & Daniel top them all! Daniel became involved in proceedings when it was clear that Jeremy had not been progressing our sale AT ALL. Unfortunately rather than apologise & try to smooth things over, Daniel took the same (baffling) stance that Jeremy had! It was all someone else’s fault, it was nothing to do with Property Assistant & he made no attempt to apologise. I really think they need to ask for a refund from the training company they use because this ‘take no responsibility or accountability what-so-ever’ position is not compatible with decent business practice. When we issued PA with a deadline for exchanging contracts, Daniel’s response was to completely ignore us & cease communication until the date that we had given when he sent us a WhatsApp telling us we needed to get rid of our buyers & they would find us a new one?! We finally parted company with them In the New Year & went on the market with Winkworth (who were excellent) & whom I would recommend. There is a truly hilarious element to this sorry tale - Property Assistant actually has the audacity to charge above the market rate in selling fees!!!! To call Property Assistant’s business practices unprofessional churlish & immature would I fear be unfair to unprofessional churlish & immature people. *PLEASE DON’T LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES - avoid this circus like the plague**

Jennifer and Clare at Surrey Abodes were not only very professional at all times but were also mindful of the stress I was under and never rushed me or put me under any pressure. They were kind and considerate. Clare would make sure I was update with everything and explained and advised in a way that was easy to understand. They will be honest with you about your property but there is no hard selling tactics. Surrey Abodes is a small independent Estate Agents and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Full transparency is we unfortunately did find the one bad egg of a tenant but with David’s relentless help and work ethic he over saw everything and ensured a painless experience despite the negative outcome of the tenant. Professionalism at its finest and work ethic that can not be ignored! Thankyou Bourne and hope to do more business again soon!
