17th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.

12th Oct 2023 (9 mo. ago)We first met Jilly Wellman when we were considering selling our house several years ago now. We were dissatisfied with the agent at that time and found Jilly so helpful even though not her clients that we vowed to contact her in the future. We withdrew our property from the market at that time. So, having lived at our current address for 29 years we decided to sell and contacted Jilly. Obviously, out of touch with the selling process and anxious about it, Jilly was immediately reassuring and was so enthusiastic about our property and conveyed confidence in getting a sale that we took re-assurance from that. Throughout the whole process she kept in touch, put suitable people forward for viewings, answered all emails and texts promptly. She introduced her colleague who would occasionally stand in for her and showed her around. She also communicated when her colleague was doing the viewings. She assured us she would be with us every step of the way and she was. The thing that is striking is after many years doing her job she is so enthusiastic and competent and goes out of her way to be helpful and clearly loves meeting her clients. We were also very happy with the price she pitched our property at. A gem of an agent! I would also like to say how helpful and welcoming Jo Windsor and Diana Steer were in the process of our sale. In view of our experience, I would certainly recommend Strutt & Parker Estate Agents.
11th May 2024 (11 weeks ago)We chose Hamptons to manage the marketing and sale of our home in Hampshire and couldn’t have been happier. From the first meeting they were professional, knowledgeable and demonstrated extensive experience in the market we were selling to. We had plenty of serious viewings which led to offers, negotiations and finally a sale completing in mid April 24. I’d like to thank Rebecca, James and the whole team for their work throughout the complete selling process.
20th Jun 2024 (5 weeks ago)Darren was an excellent agent and better than I hoped for. Our chain was a tough one with many challenges, difficult people and poor behaviour. Darren rose to the occasion. His manner instilled confidence in all those around him and kept others calm in stressfull situations. Assertive, respectful, professional with a good sense of fun, Darren has the skills to pull people together and get things done. The other estate agents in the process looked hopeless in comparison to Darren's experience, skills and behaviours. If you're looking for someone who you can trust, who gets results without behaving like a "cowboy" I would highly recommend.

7th Jun 2024 (7 weeks ago)UPDATE: I have now Exchanged for my house and again the team have been so so helpful. Rebecca, Lisa, Luke, all excellent! Hat and Home were the best Estate Agents we have dealt with in our quest to find a house. We dealt with Libby on both our viewings and email correspondence as well as Jack. Both of them are extremely communicative and clear with information and acted prudently when called upon. Libby was extremely helpful when it came to getting a 1st viewing on the property we purchased and gave us all the info we needed to make a decision. I would strongly recommend them to anyone who is looking to sell as well as buy as they really to everything they can to provide top quality service. Post purchase they are keeping us up to date on latest progress. They also recommend good brokers and surveyors to use as well.
