20th Sep 2024 (5 weeks ago)Do not move in to properties from Foxtons. I have been living in a mould infested flat for a year— which sent me to the hospital and an independent mould company confirmed the flat was unsafe to live in because it wasn’t properly damp proofed — and they did nothing. When I decided to move out because of the mould, they immediately started viewings of the flat and are now moving someone in when the landlord has no plans to carry out the 2 months of repairs necessary to make it not a health hazard. Beyond that, though, Foxtons has contacted me to schedule viewings of my flat several times when I explicitly told them not to, and when trying to find a flat with them, they offered ones that did not meet any of my criteria and were not on the market. Overall, I strongly recommend not using Foxtons.

Throughout the process from the dreaded bidding war through to renegotiations on sales prices and completion, Pio helped to facilitate multiple surveys, kept up momentum with the sales process and was always responsive to my queries which meant from the sale being agreed to completion was only 11 weeks. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him- he was friendly, open to all questions however small and just a total pro. Thanks for making first time buying that much less daunting!
