The sale was managed very professionally, with excellent communication at every stage. Given the circumstances, it was important that the property was sold as quickly as possible, and the team worked tirelessly to ensure this outcome. Thank you to all concerned, who were always positive, and worked tirelessly in the background to achieve this in a difficult market.
17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.
15th Jul 2026 (9 weeks ago)We entrusted Edward (Ed) Sargeant of Batcheller Monkhouse to sell a vacant property which was subject to an AOC (agricultural occupancy condition) - not straight forward. From initial instructions through to completion Ed handled the transaction with true professionalism; I would strongly recommend Ed/Batcheller Monkhouse as a solid and trustworthy agent.

They have always been highly responsive to both general queries and to any maintenance required. Grantley always kept us informed of emergency contacts over the holidays, and proactively informed us of upcoming changes to the letting process/legislation. House visits were organised well in advance, allowing us our privacy. Highly recommended!
14th Sep 2026 (4 days ago)Professional yet friendly and down to earth - experts in the town, I am a qualified person in my field so I am always shocked how many estate agents are not - but at Brock Taylor they are - and you can tell. it also tells me a lot about a business that they do this when there is no legal requirement to do so. My house was sold and the progression to completion was excellent.. I dealt with Peter and Angel Mostly, but the while team were excellent.

Quick and efficient responses for all our queries. Then we bought our first house through them as well and their help was amazing. Every person of the staff I talked to knew about our case. I absolutely recommend them for your next rent/purchase. They will look after you.

Due to the current housing market situation, it was a long and frustrating experience to finally find a buyer but the team were very helpful, always professonal and did everything they could to support us and see the sale through to the end. I would recommend them.

But all the other staff were also faultless and excellent. Very happy with the job they did and would highly recommend them. Far better than any other agent I’ve used previously.
4th Dec 2024 (1 year ago)The agency were good in most respects, however they suggested dropping the price within a few weeks of the property going on the market, which made us question their original valuation. Ultimately the original valuation turned out to be pretty accurate.
