She was both friendly and professional and offered good communication throughout our dealings. So I can not speak for the rest of Proffitt and Holt as an agency, as I only really dealt with her and she was a very good representive and ambassador of them.

Dealing extensively with the Brookmans Park office the whole team was always responsive and insightful - particular shout out to Nicola - the branch manager. Attentive and informed - I'm almost sorry to see the transaction complete. Not all agents in Brookmans Park are equal - choose wisely if you want a stress-free process.

21st Aug 2020 (6 years ago)We worked together just before and then into lock down / covid. A tricky time for all. But these guys were great and got my home sold. Viewings were safe, photos looked great and the marketing leaflets fabulous. My property is on a train-line (a put off for many) and so they briefed people before viewings so I didn’t have too much traffic which helped.

Verity in particular was absolutely lovely, very helpful and professional. She made everything so much easier for us. We would definitely recommend the agency! ??????
12th Aug 2026 (12 weeks ago)1 star. I used Lane and Bennett to let and manage my property and would not use them again.<br><br>Communication was the first problem. I was constantly chasing them for updates and rarely got them without pushing. When they found new tenants I had to chase repeatedly just to find out whether the tenant had actually moved in. Getting hold of them by phone was a job in itself, as calls frequently went unanswered.<br><br>Throughout the tenancy there was a steady stream of maintenance issues, and on nearly every one I was steered towards their own contractors rather than being given a genuine choice. Tiles were cracked and it took repeated chasing over a long period before I was reimbursed.<br><br>The handover back to me was the worst of it. The property was returned filthy. The garden was unkept, the front driveway was unkept, there were burn marks in the carpets, the carpets had not been cleaned, and furniture was damaged. I had been charged for an inventory, yet none of this was properly recorded in it. An inventory that fails to capture obvious damage offers a landlord no protection at all.<br><br>The overall experience was of an agent that collected its fees, did not keep me informed, did not look after the property, and did not act in the landlord's interest. If you are a landlord considering them, be prepared to get your property back in a materially worse condition than you handed it over, and to do most of the chasing yourself.

The process wasn't easy (a lot of bumps in the road) but Rosie was proactive and reassuring and we got there in the end! The rest of the team are great, and Naomi also went above and beyond when I had a issue. Thanks so much team!

21st Oct 2026 (11 days ago)Following a long standing rental lease Hobdays were quick into action to upgrade my Flat and find a new tenant. This required extensive planning, time sensitivity and much communication. Hobdays were always readily available and extremely personable in their approach to me. All the more important as I am located in Scotland.<br>The project was complex and needed day by day planning to ensure the property was was turned around in a timely fashion. All dates were completed to the day including the completion date and new tennant's moving in. I cannot speak highly enough of the thorough manner each of the lovely staff interacted with each other and myself in achieving this objective.<br>You Ladies and guys at( Hobdays) have been fantastic and I would 100% recommend anyone to engage them for all matters Rental & Real Estate.<br>Funny enough I purchased the property Hobday's in 1993....good friends for a long time now.
