Karima and the team at Barnurd Marcus were extremely helpful and accommodating through the whole process of moving. Everything went smoothly and swift from the point of viewing to moving in. Karima has gone out of her way to help me settle in London from Manchester and has done above and beyond her duty as a letting agent!
I would recommend Barnard Marcus to help with all your move needs! Thank you so much for your help and support through this move.
Avoid at all costs for renting - great service from agency but the property management company Sequence Homes are a complete and utter disgrace. Had to chase to get my deposit back, then getting it back was equivalent to a Greek tragedy. They inexplicably have an 11-day process to return deposits. Behaved like a mafia - suggest to use other agencies.
Carlos was thoughtful and efficient, navigating the London traffic on an electric scooter and having a cab on hand to transport us from one viewing to the next. He went the extra mile by understanding our needs and flagged to us a perfect flat that was about to come on the market. I was also impressed by the back-up from his office -- Emily was kind and helpful and Nancy was able to explain the lettings side. Flat-hunting in central London can be stressful and intense, but I felt we were in good hands.
Absolutely horrible experience which to be honest I didn’t expect from such a brand as Chestertons!!! We had 3 flats rent it through them and for all of them with any exception half of our security deposit was retained against the law and totally unjustified!!! We paid huge amount of rent for some 1 bed which basically were some converted studio without any support when have issue in the apartments. Therefore we give the flats back with notice because of this and without any reason in all properties half of our security deposit was held so pleas make sure you will not end up in the same position as looks like this is like a habit from what we observe.
We purchased a studio flat through Dexters in Bloomsbury a couple of months ago and I have to say this was the best Estate Agent experience I have had either selling or buying. Robert was my main point of contact but also Gabi and the rest of the team were always willing to get and go above and beyond what was needed to make sure I was happy. A refreshing experience!
1. When moving in they forgot to do inventory check 2. They came in after moving in to do an inventory check and left a massive stain on the carpet. 3. They never cleaned the place and asked the landlord to still pay the fees for cleaning. Never disclosed that the neighbours were noisy in downstairs restaurant. They finish business at 11:30 but remained in the premises until 4:30 am play cards and drinking alcohol. This said restaurant owner physically assaulted me and when I approached the letting agents to end the contract citing safety concerns, showed no empathy towards me and insisted that it was a personal matter and tehy were not responsible for it. I've had an absolutely horrible time dealing with them and would never ever deal with them again!
Knight Frank in Kings Cross are quite exceptional estate agents, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Mark Batty and his team, plus Sophie Cook, were fantastic looking after my search. I was incredibly impressed with lettings negotiator Mark Johnson who had endless advice, knowledge of the area, and patience with my search. They offer a world class service in terms of care, diligence, passion, and impressively high professional standards. They are in a league of their own and I'm so glad I chose them. My apartment search could not have been in finer hands.
They had no patience for me because of my accent and pretty much told me sorry leave..
