28th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)Matthew Stacy was the seller's agent in my recent purchase. Matthew's client is quite dis-organised (e.g. misplacing the keys for the flat on sale), but Matthew dealt with this with a sense of humor, eventually recovering the keys. During the transaction stage, for a while, my solicitor was acting quite slowly. I was able to get hold of lender's inquiries, and saw that one of the items was an electricity certificate. I figured that rather than waiting for my solicitor to talk to the seller's solicitor, I should just ask Matthew. He got the certificate for me the next day, and my solicitor was shocked when receiving it from me. The valuation turned out to be lower than my offer price, which meant that the bank would loan me less money. I was really out of cash by that time. and wanted a price reduction so that the sale would go through. Matthew was able to negotiate with the seller, and I got the price reduction I asked. Overall, a positive experience... Except that Matthew's task is not over even though the sale has completed - a fob is missing - and hopefully, Matthew will help getting it for me!
20th Feb 2024 (13 weeks ago)Bad experience I called to enquiry about a property but when I mentioned universal credit with no hesitation one of your colleagues say I don’t think so landlord takes universal credit. The answer is yes or no, not “I don't think” without verification. It looks like you discriminate against people who take benefits and disabled people.

7th Apr 2021 (3 years ago)Took my money, informed me that the flat is off the market and I am still chasing them up for the refund. After I posted a review on google, suddenly they had the time to finally call me back. Not to refund my money though, to ask me why I posted a bad review and still no answer on when I will get my £400 back! Scammers!

28th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)This is the worse management company and totally agree with the negative reviews below. They do not respond to queries, they pick and choose what they wish to provide a response to, very rarely, and they do not follow through on any procedures. There isn't any way to get your complaints dealt with and they do not provide any actual service to tenants. They provide a very baseline service and the rest has to be chased up on a regular basis and then they over charge for any requests made. There is no factual evidence to support their charging structure and they do not provide information when requested. Contact is minimal and they are quick to point out breaches when they have made many breaches themselves.
26th May 2022 (1 year ago)The unique service offered by Griffin has enabled me to complete a DIY sale of my home on the Internet using national property sale platforms as if I was the website. I listed my property at 8am and by 9.30am on the same day I was receiving emails from potential purchaser's. I well know the power of the Internet, but even I was surprised by the speed of it all. The Griffin team have the power to listen and assist you, I wish to thank the person at Griffin who originated this professional service and his team for doing a great job. If I ever need to sell a home in future I will immediately use the Griffin service and have been recommending them to family and friends. Thank you.

27th Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)I did appoint JBrown to sell my property in Bromley and I was very happy at the beginning about the way they approached me and how they worked to get the property on the market quickly. Soon after they changed quite a lot in terms of communication, Zara used to reply randomly ( basically when she got a chance ) whilst Komal (owner)never replied to my emails.( she should learn how to deal with people). Despite that was a clear sight of a lack of professionalism, I left things going ahead smoothly. Zara kept me informed about the buyer's interest in seeing the property and I arranged access all the time. Then I had to chase her to receive feedback from customers, she never made them aware of the outcome or sending any REPORT. Even though I left them to carry on their job. They eventually got 2 offers and let me know to appoint a solicitor which I did. Both times buyers pulled out and she never contacted me to let me know, on the contrary, I had to call to find out what happened. I am still not sure if she really received any offers because I never received proof of that. The 12-week agreement came to an end and I previously let them know by email that I would not renew the mandate( no response at all as usual). Finally, I chased them again to remove my property from the market but they either removed it or replied to my emails. After 2 weeks of waiting for them I decided to contact Rightmove, and Zoopla etc explain the matter and they removed the property immediately. This morning magically I received an email From Zara saying that my property has now been removed! You are a team of liars, hopefully, people will be away from such an unprofessional “Estate Agency”.. I lost time but you lost quite a lot of money. That's what you deserve!!!
16th Feb 2023 (1 year ago)After a bad experience trying to sell our flat through one of the big estate agency chains, Story of Home was recommended to us by a friend. Our experience couldn’t have been more different; Stuart actually cared about our sale and knew the market and the business inside out. He was there at every step of the way through a fairly complicated sale. He gave excellent advice on everything, was quick to respond to any questions and was there for us whenever needed. We would not hesitate to recommend Story of Home, to anyone.
