Maddie kept us in the loop throughout the whole process which was stressful at times and kept in contact with our solicitor and notified us immediately about the current situation. We are extremely grateful and so happy we are now in our lovely new home. Moving is inevitably stressful but instructing Howkins and Harrison was the best decision we could have made. 25th Apr 2026 (29 days ago)Claire and Sam are a fantastic team and did a brilliant job selling our house. We needed to sell quickly in order to secure the house we wanted and bw able to place a formal offer. They worked at speed, when I requested a valuation they respond immediately and launched our sale within a couple of weeks. Their service was first rate and included a pre launch video, a promotional video and an open day. We were able to secure our asking price, so our purchase could proceed. Their communication to us kept us fully informed throughout the process and all queries were dealt with in a timely manner. On a personal level we found Claire and Sam lovely professional people to deal with and they were always focused on delivery of great customer service. We highly recommend them.

TBH they need the patience of a saint with some people. The sales negotiator is very professional, (think I'd be drinking heavily if I had to deal with some buyers). A big thank you to everyone at the branch.

5th May 2026 (19 days ago)Avoid all house share viewings, the prices that they as a company post are absolutely diabolical in comparison to not only the market but for what they offer. Out of all 3 viewings I did, they were awful. 6 people to a house, all houses had a ran down kitchen, not up to date it’s an absolute mess. the floors were broken in all the rooms with a shoddy carpet just pulled over it? The walls were cracked the toilets i viewed literally had pee over the floor. It’s like no one even went out to clean it prior or even quality checked the house. The fact that this if it was 300 PM I would be like you know what? You get what you pay for. but how are you asking 6/700 Per month when there’s 500/600 PM market houses that are fully furnished with less people and more space….?? If your seeing this and your in dire need of a house share like I was and in a rush for time PLEASE do not turn to these guys for a solution they will over charge you for your stay there is WAY more better places out there and cheaper. There’s a reason why they have so many rooms available it’s because so many people are leaving and the quality and cleanliness is a JOKE. Even the the furniture that “ came with the room” that you can’t “ get rid of “ was broken..? Like what? This isn’t a reflection on the agents as individuals but as a company, it’s greedy and your properties are dehumanising. Find a private landlord on spare room.

Making me feel at ease talking to him despite it was my first contact. He was efficient and arranged a viewing for us very quickly even when it was a last minute request.

14th Apr 2026 (6 weeks ago)I would not recommend this letting agent or the landlords they represent. I was served a no-fault eviction, completely out of the blue, and the property was immediately re-listed despite there being no issues during my tenancy. On top of that, they attempted to withhold almost the entire deposit for “cleaning, including carpets”. Fortunately, the Deposit Protection Scheme reviewed the evidence fairly and correctly ruled that the property (including the carpets) had been returned in an appropriate condition — in fact cleaner than at the start of the tenancy. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Credit to the DPS for handling the dispute properly, but I would strongly advise caution when dealing with this agent.- 27th Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)O'Riordan Bond Duston and Kindsthrope was amazing, Lucia, Joe and others did a fantastic job, l can't thank them enough Honestly l had a wonderful experience, always keeping me updated and l have never chased them from start to finish, they are the best. Highly recommended!- 8th May 2026 (16 days ago)I have been using Howkins and Harrison to manage my properties for approximately the last 10 years. Whilst I have always received a good service my recent experience has been outstanding. A cylinder fell off the wall in the airing cupboard damaging the main water tank and splitting a water pipe. This resulted in water escaping onto the landing coming through the downstairs ceilings, tripping the electrics in the house. The way Alison Edwards dealt with this was fantastic. As soon as she was aware, she attended the property to ensure the tenant was okay and the property safe. She contacted multiple contractors and within a couple of hours had a plumber and electrician on site. She made sensible decisions on our behalf, monitored the progress of the works being carried out over the 2 weeks it took to put everything right and kept us and the tenant updated throughout. We would like to thank her for the time and care she took and for how she treated the property as if it were her own. Thank you to the team at Howkins for the work they have done for us over the years and a massive thank you to Alison. You are a true star!

27th Apr 2026 (27 days ago)Having been with a large chain agent for almost a year, with few viewings and very little useful feedback, we swapped to Oak Estates. From the beginning, Kris and his team were really open, honest and positive. They made us feel like they cared about our experience, not just getting us on the books. The viewing team were great - very professional and took on board useful information about the house and the area to pass to the buyers. We managed to get a buyer in much less than half of the time than we had been with the other agents and the office were really good at keeping us in the loop and even offered advice beyond the sale of the property. I would very happily recommend Oak Estates to anyone looking to sell and get a very personalised, honest, professional and caring service.

Dedicated consultant Adele ticked all the boxes from the initial enthusiastic presentation to completing the sale of our property. On the ball, kept us well informed throughout the process and kept our solicitors in check. 3rd May 2026 (21 days ago)Received multiple unsolicited marketing letters from this estate agent despite our property already being listed and now sold. I’ve had no prior contact with them, and no other agents have been this persistent. Feels excessive and a bit pushy to be honest.
