Mark, in particular, has been very helpful in ensuring the Havering Council property licence application forms were submitted on time. I truly appreciate the extra effort he went to, going the extra mile to get everything completed promptly. I have no hesitation in recommending both of them, as well as Balgores, with whom I have been associated for the past 10 years.

Even helped me set up a meeting with the mortgage adviser and helped me get a better budget. Thanks for all the help.

20th Mar 2026 (21 days ago)Made all the right noises but ultimately didn't deliver. I gave them my property to sell. In 8 weeks received no proactive feedback. No updates on viewing or, feedback. Didn't even respond to messages in a timely manner. Stay clear.

They supported my mum, who is 80, and from start to finish they were incredibly lovely, patient, and understanding—making what can often be a stressful process feel so much easier and more manageable. They were always happy to answer questions, kept me well informed, and went above and beyond to offer support whenever it was needed. Their professionalism and genuine care really stood out. I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend them to anyone looking for a smooth and supportive experience. Thank you both again!

1st Apr 2026 (9 days ago)We used lux homes to sell our property and I’m so glad we did. Alex was Amazing as we had a few hiccups along the way he was always reassuring and so professional. Even though it took a while Alex was there to work through any problems as was Sophie who also was there whenever we needed any advice. As stressful as moving is lux homes Hornchurch was so helpful I fully recommend using them for there wonderful service they provided Thank you guys

They marketed the property well, generated strong interest, and secured a great result. What really stood out was how smooth and stress-free they made everything — nothing was too much trouble. I’d highly recommend Chalk Street Estates to anyone looking to sell their property.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

From start to finish, their communication was outstanding, they never once avoided my (often stressed!) phone calls and were always patient, taking the time to clearly explain each step of the process. No matter how busy they were, they always made time to support us, which made a huge difference. Ciara was fantastic right from the beginning, taking control of the viewings and presenting our property beautifully to potential buyers. Her professionalism and enthusiasm really stood out. Ross completely understood what we were looking for in a future home and found us the perfect property in the perfect area, we couldn’t be happier with our new home. Ross and Amanda were absolutely instrumental in pushing our sale through a particularly difficult chain. We genuinely believe that without their persistence and dedication, the move would not have happened. Amanda went above and beyond, it was clear she truly cared, even to the point of losing sleep over the process alongside us. Knowing someone was as invested in our move as we were was incredibly reassuring.
