20th Sep 2026 (0 days ago)I instructed James Anderson after being impressed by the proactive marketing strategy discussed at the outset, particularly the targeted buyer activity, wider office network, grouped viewings and detailed weekly reporting. Unfortunately, the experience didn't match those expectations. The initial marketing felt rushed, with simple mistakes such as the property not appearing through the search function on their own website, and the overall strategy didn't align with what had been promised at the outset. Despite raising my concerns repeatedly, I didn't see the level of proactive activity I had expected. Although the agreed strategy and marketing activity had not yet been fully delivered, and we were also in the holiday period, I was being encouraged to reduce the price after just four weeks. When I didn't agree to this, I saw little evidence of further activity to generate viewings, with the focus continuing to come back to price. I also asked for specific marketing changes, including refreshed photography and floorplans, and greater visibility of buyer enquiries and follow-up activity. These were not delivered as expected, and the reporting remained largely generic Rightmove statistics rather than giving me a clear picture of the activity behind the figures. The team were pleasant to deal with and I have no criticism of them personally, but ultimately the service did not match what was discussed when I instructed them, and I decided to terminate the instruction.
4th Mar 2021 (5 years ago)We had our flat on the market with Dexter's for the exclusivity period. During that time we were passed between 3 contacts at Dexter's. The first agent left within a week or two of taking our property on, put little effort into the marketing of the property resulting in a poor advert and poor viewings. The second agent was much better, rectified many mistakes and did find us a buyer. The buyer sadly pulled out, but by this point the second agent at Dexter's had also moved on. It took 3 days for us to hear of the news of the buyer falling through and a further week for the agent to actually make any contact with us. We found out the buyer had pulled out from our estate agent from the property we were purchasing calling our solicitors and asking for an update. Dexter's in my opinion were an appalling service. We put out flat on the market with another agent and had a brilliant offer, from a truly lovely couple within a few weeks. I wish I'd gone with the data in GetAgent in the first place, rather than going on gut feel. When we bought our flat it was with Dexter's and we got the impression that they were relationship people, however, it turns out they act in the interest of the buyer not the seller.

14th Sep 2026 (6 days ago)Professional yet friendly and down to earth - experts in the town, I am a qualified person in my field so I am always shocked how many estate agents are not - but at Brock Taylor they are - and you can tell. it also tells me a lot about a business that they do this when there is no legal requirement to do so. My house was sold and the progression to completion was excellent.. I dealt with Peter and Angel Mostly, but the while team were excellent.

Richard led the sale and went above and beyond to help us through an emotional few months. We were guided through every stage with sound advice and expert knowledge . We were given updates after each viewing and I found I could ring any of the team with any issue and know that my query was dealt with promptly . When the chain broke a week before exchange the whole office went above and beyond to get the house back on the market and we had 2 viewings booked within 24hrs. Every step of the way they provided first class support. I have no hesitation in recommending them to sell or buy a property and am so glad I chose them . Thankyou to everyone in the team

1st Sep 2026 (19 days ago)?????<br><br>We honestly cannot recommend Homes highly enough, and in particular, Amy, who has been absolutely exceptional throughout the whole process.<br><br>To say Amy went above and beyond would be a huge understatement. Our purchase became more complicated than expected, including an issue with finding the service charge information relating to our sellers’ onward purchase. With very little progress being made elsewhere, Amy personally went out of her way to speak to a neighbour to find out the information we needed and then passed it directly on to the solicitor. What could have resulted in weeks of unnecessary back-and-forth was resolved thanks to her initiative and determination.<br><br>And it didn’t stop there. On the day of completion, Amy was actually helping our sellers pack boxes and take down curtains to help get the property vacated as quickly as possible. She genuinely went far beyond what we could ever have expected from an estate agent.<br><br>Buying a house can be incredibly stressful, but having someone like Amy in your corner makes such a difference. She has been an absolute angel throughout the entire process, and we are so incredibly grateful for everything she has done for us.<br><br>Amy is a real credit to Homes, and we truly cannot thank her enough. If you’re buying or selling a property, we would wholeheartedly recommend them. ?????

5th Sep 2026 (15 days ago)Poor experience especially from Dee. No communication at all to us, and informed us Landlord is happy with us, told us everything is okay then providing us false hope. Keep in mind this is something you must stay transparent with… especially with an asset such as a house, but we were told lies and lies which gave us false hope as mentioned. Dee did not keep us updated, told us numerous different stories, does not have basic interpersonal and communication skills, not sure how he is the manager to be honest. He may have provided other customers good experience but for me and my mum, definitely not. Full of false promises and lies.
