I put my father's house up for sale in September and within a week, I'd had four viewings and three offers, one of which culminated in a sale by the beginning of December, very impressive in my view. Throughout the whole process, the work of the staff was totally professional and helpful at all times, particularly in the area of communication and advice. I would like to single out for special praise Julie, Liz and Ann, the sale completer, all nice people too, always welcoming and sympathetic in their approach. I would certainly recommend Bradshaw, Farnham and Lea if you are thinking of buying or selling a house.
Poor. For a start, we were buyers and not vendors, so your records are inaccurate. Secondly, when viewing the property we asked especially for an extended appointment since we wished to take measurements. When we arrived we were rushed and not given the appointment we had asked for. Finally, after we had bought the property and been living there for a number of weeks, a 'To let' sign appeared outside. The sign was screwed into a 100 year old stone wall, causing damage. I called BFL to ask why this sign was put up, and was told rather abruptly that 'Heswall office doesn't deal with rentals, you need to speak to West Kirby'. No apology was made, and eventually the person on the 'phone agreed to contact the other office and get them to call me back with an apology and explanation. 10 months on, I am still waiting for that call, still waiting for an apology and still have damage to the stone wall!
From the beginning of our search for a new home to the final purchase we felt we had the support of all the Staff at BFL. As our local agent we found them always helpful and able to ease the stress of finding a new place to live. They were well informed great at communicating and very patent. We certainly felt they had our interests at heart. We would definitely recommend them to anyone seeking to buy in the area.

To -- Bradshaw, Farnham, Lea:
I had a good experience with your company, both when we were buying and also selling the property. You always returned my calls quite promptly, and your office answered my questions.
There is one very important thing, I feel all Real Estate companies in England should change. In Canada, when I am to view properties I wish to buy, my Realtor ALWAYS picks me up in his car and the two of us spend the day looking at different properties. This is done for days and even weeks until the right property is found. I was told by your office, this was not done because your insurance does not cover me. GET BETTER INSURANCE COVERAGE. In Canada, when everything is agreed upon, the paper work is all finished in approximately 3 days. In England it takes many weeks. When I was leaving Canada to live in England, it took me 5 days to sell my home in Canada. It took you almost 3 months to sell my Flat in England. Why does everything move so slow in England?
When I come to Hoylake this Spring, I will come by your office to say hello. Doris and I enjoyed our Flat in Hoylake very much, and I am looking forward to my visit to see my many friends.
Sincerely, Gary Martin
Purchased and sold our existing house through Lesley Hooks, having spoke to every one of the staff on a number of occasions I cannot speak highly enough about the professional manner of everyone there. Prompt replies to emails and phone calls, along with a proactive sales approach.
We'll be in touch when the next one is ready :)
