I called today to arrange a viewing for a property and was very disappointed by the way I was treated. The person who answered the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the conversation.
He asked who my current landlord was and which estate agency I had previously rented through. When I told him I had rented through Samuel Estates, he responded by saying he had never heard of them in a dismissive and disrespectful manner. From that point on, his attitude was unnecessarily rude and made me feel unwelcome.
I was simply trying to enquire about a property viewing and expected to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Customer service is an important part of any estate agency, and unfortunately my experience was very poor. Based on this interaction, I would not recommend dealing with this agency.

Lauren and Bruce are absolutely thrilled with the service from Sophie at the Sudbury branch!!! Paige was exceptional throughout our viewing and made a fantastic first impression. Very poor management in this specific branch. More or less 0 communication from them.Do not let your property with them, as soon as they sign you up, they don't care about you (landlord) they only care in collecting they'r cut . They are not interested in doing property chec ups, etc.... really really terrible evil people at that branch.

Just wanted to mention Julie and Kirsty at the Hornchurch branch have been amazing throughout the whole journey buying our 1st home. Answering questions and chasing up when needed. Cant fault these 2 amazing ladies. Highly recommend. If you're looking to buy in the area, they will guide you through the whole process.

Chelsea and Charlotte at Bairstow Eves Elm Park were absolutely amazing throughout our property purchase. As first-time buyers, we had so many questions and uncertainties along the way, but they were always patient, understanding, helpful, and informative.
During our property search, the team were very proactive in sending us properties that aligned with our requirements.
From the very first viewing all the way through to post-completion, they supported us with the same energy and care from day one. We really built a great relationship with them throughout the whole process, which made such a stressful journey feel much easier and more personal.
Any queries, questions, or problems we had were always taken seriously, and they genuinely made an effort to help solve them quickly and professionally.

Bairstow Eves have been excellent from the moment we listed our property. Viewings were handled professionally, feedback was always passed on promptly, and once we accepted an offer the team kept the momentum going. They’ve been quick to update us on searches, surveys, and solicitor progress, and have made sure both sides stay aligned. It’s been a genuinely smooth experience and we’ve felt well supported throughout. Would definitely recommend them to anyone selling locally.
Special thanks to Sean and Ted — they’ve been brilliant throughout the whole process. We had five different agents visit before choosing who to list with, and only Sean and one other agent from a rival firm gave us a genuinely good vibe. Bairstow ultimately won out because of their client base and the confidence they inspired from the start.
It’s never too much trouble to get in touch with them when a question comes up, and their responsiveness has made the entire situation much easier to deal with. Really impressed with the service.
