We did get off to a rocky start as i was very anxious about my elderly mother moving into her first property and she had a mountain of issues but Anna was able to calm me down and has been polite, professional and i am so happy she is my mothers property manager. i retract my original concerns regarding the management with Oakley and can now safely say that Anna has been an absolute star and has kept in contact with me constantly and going above and beyond to assist

Thanks to James's initial marketing advice; Sarah & her colleague's dealings with interested parties and Jodie's efficient administration, we ultimately had offers from everyone that viewed and exceeded our price expectations when a sale was agreed after just 1 week on the market.

29th Sep 2021 (2 years ago)W Welch, well where to begin. Wesley was the agent we both sold our property through and also aided us in our purchase of our new home. To sum this up in a few words... Wesley has been so kind, understanding, helpful, prompt and professional through out. W Welch offer a personal touch which I really liked, I felt that I could contact Wesley and ask any question and he would always take the time to answer me. All in all a great company, friendly, professional all wrapped in one. Great job all of you who work for W Welch.

It often felt as though both firms of solicitors were deliberately causing problems to hold up this sale but Zoe continually contacted all the parties involved to cut through the solicitors' nonsense. A great thank you to Zoe ????

He listened to our needs and prompted us when we needed that. Wouldn't hesistate to recommend him to anyone needing mortgage advice.
10th Apr 2022 (2 years ago)A traumatic experience with Cubitt & West. Getting us settled in was a smooth process. Cubitt & West was helpful and flexible. For us, the trouble started three months in when it became clear the house we rented had severe issues with black mould. When we notified Cubitt & West about the mould, as we did multiple times, they acted as if we were exaggerating and told us to wipe it all down. So we bought some heavy chemicals and masks to do so. Inevitably, the mould kept coming back. It was everywhere. After getting respiratory problems, we noticed the mould was penetrating our mattresses and cushions. With about 40% of the total floor area, the upper floor became unusable. That's when we decided to stop using the affected rooms. The real shock came when we decided to move out after almost two years. Suddenly, the black mould was a blocking issue to rent it again. The landlord would have to renovate the house. From then on, it got from bad to worse. They forced us to keep paying the rent with false promises. They told us we would get the overpaid rent back once the house was in an acceptable state again. Renovations would take no more than a week, so most of our £1500 would be returned. In the end, the renovations took more than six weeks, and we didn't see our money back. But it got worse. They also tried to use our full deposit with false claims and exorbitant renovation fees. That's when we called on the Tenancy Deposit Scheme for help. After a few more months, an arbitrator at the TDS decided we were in our right and returned the biggest part of our deposit to us. Which only confirmed that Cubitt & West mistreated us all along. For us, it was a traumatising experience. The letting agency because quite aggressive towards us and even started screening our calls. I want to add we always played by their rules and never missed a payment. I can not advise anyone to work with them, based on my experience.

21st Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)They´re OK, I doubt no worse than any other letting agent in the town that charge 12%. They appear to respond pretty quickly jobs don´t appear too badly priced.

3rd May 2024 (15 days ago)GSP took over the block management of the block of 3 flats in lewes - one of which I own. Since they have taken over, a simple issue of flickering communal lights has not been sorted - I have been passed pillar to post of different people who reply once and then never again. The issue was reported on 23rd January and still isn’t sorted. It could be sorted within a couple hours max if they sent someone out or replied to emails. I put in a formal complaint and as part of their complaints procedure, you are promised a response within 15 working days. Today marks 20 working days with no response.. I have also requested 3 times in writing for a copy of the insurance document - needless to say this has been ignored too.

Foster and Co is extremely responsive and helpful. The documentation and video they did to promote our property was very professional and looked great. We highly recommend this estate agent.
12th Feb 2024 (14 weeks ago)Officeless. They seem to me to operate from the local Pub. They do not have an office. That explains that, based on high background noise and the level of low common sense, when I spoke to them they seem to me that they operate directly from the local pub. Also explains the psychodrama of their unprofessional behaviour. My recommendation is to find yourself a estate agent with an office as this one seems to me to operate from the local pub. Nothing wrong I guess with running the business from the pub, it could be convenient for meals and drinks, I guess, but not for my personal professional standard. I guess it is another type of business, for another type of people. Not better or worse, just different.

Liz maintained excellent communication with us throughout. Thank you so so much for everything you did! You really made the process as smooth as possible. 3rd Nov 2023 (6 mo. ago)I have rented 2 properties over the course of 11 years with Uden. I was very happy with the service. Any issues with the flat were dealt with promptly from Uden's point of view. Unlike many other agents I found them to be ethical and approachable. I would recommend them, particularly Paula who was my main contact. We have now left the property we were renting and got our deposit back swiftly.

As a landlord who always wants to do the right thing by the tenant and property, I would not be without Sean. Communication is prompt, proactive and efficient; he will always pick up the phone and offer as much time and advice as is necessary. A rare aspect in business these days. I would not hesitate to recommend.
