17th Jan 2022 (3 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.
2nd Nov 2021 (3 years ago)I have just purchased a property through Equus Property. Celia was fantastic, she was always available when I needed a question answered, she stayed in regular contact with me from the very first viewing right through to completion. Celia went above and beyond her duties, she helped speed up the process by speaking to solicitors and chasing things up for the vendor and I. 20th Feb 2025 (12 weeks ago)Probably slightly unfair time to review as we were selling at not a great time of year, and our situation was not a run off the mill one. However, we were kept in the loop and communication was good. Market price dropped after the valuation, but if the sale goes ahead, it will have sold in 3 months.

I listed my property at 8am and by 9.30am on the same day I was receiving emails from potential purchaser's. I well know the power of the Internet, but even I was surprised by the speed of it all. 2nd May 2025 (16 days ago)Lewes Estates were professional and helpful throughout the whole process. The particulars were produced promptly, with excellent photographs and I was informed of each viewing and then given feedback wherever possible. Even though the property market in the winter months was rather sluggish, they were always encouraging and eventually found me a suitable buyer for my house.
22nd Apr 2025 (26 days ago)Having failed to sell my house using one of the larger, more well known estate agencies, I wanted to find somewhere independent with a more personal service - which is exactly what I got when I asked Maison to help me to sell. From the very beginning, Zac and Damian were fantastic. They are both extremely friendly and helpful at the same time as being very professional and experts in their field. They do all the viewings themselves unlike the bigger agencies who send out lots of different people to conduct viewings. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone who is looking for that little bit extra when selling their home. Thank you Maison!
