13th Aug 2021 (3 years ago)If I could leave 0 stars, I would! Dealing with Jodie was a nightmare. Her communication would completely break down when faced with the slightest inconvenience to her which led to our emails being ignored for up to 3 weeks on a number of occasions. When it came to getting our deposit back we found our attempts to contact ignored for nearly a month. (attached are photos of just two of the things we were accused of leaving dirty-luckily we had photos to prove otherwise!). It became apparent as we worked through our dispute that the check out letter was deliberately misleading to put them in a better bargaining position. If you do rent with Edwards, make sure you know your rights as a tenant because they backed down when we said we were willing to use the dispute service- clearly knew they were trying to get more from us than what would be considered acceptable. Our flat was dirty when we moved in and we were told that when a tenant moves out of a property they only clean the parts of the flat that they can charge the previous tenant for leaving dirty, the rest remains uncleaned! If you find you have to use Edwards photograph everything extensively when you move in and out to avoid being caught out. But if I had the choice, I would steer clear completely.
29th Nov 2022 (1 year ago)Experience was very good with the offer received £20k (yes, £20k) above advertised price. I had 3 agents value property and all 3 were within £5k of each other. Back up team were great and I was kept informed of viewings at all times. Couldn't ask for any more. Property went to best offers after 7 views in under a week.
28th May 2024 (18 weeks ago)Great service from Matthew and the team. Worked hard to sell my flat and helped me get the house I wanted to buy. Couldn't be happier! Communication was to the point and I always had a quick reply from them about the sale.

As I am not very competent with computers, they very kindly printed off and provided me with the paperwork. This meant that I could comfortably complete it in the old-fashioned way - by using a pen.
28th Apr 2024 (23 weeks ago)Advertised and sold within a week, second viewing. We then couldn’t find anything that met our needs and the sale dragged on. Started in July and we have just moved this week. The driving force behind the team in our experience is without doubt Jake. He has kept us updated and buoyed up throughout this stressful process, and even when he had his new family addition we felt supported. He is a well balanced and likeable man who with great patience got the job done. A credit to his profession.Of course he is supported by the rest of the staff who all appear to be to be aware of what is going on whenever called upon. Thanks to all.
23rd Jun 2024 (15 weeks ago)I was with a different agent for 3 months and made the move, immediately the it was so much better. Hunters gave me a realistic valuation, the pictures and advertising for my property were so much better making the place look great and I had more viewings in the first week compared to the 3 months with the other agent. It only took 7 weeks to find a buyer. They are prompt with communication and have done a great job working with me to sell my property.

2nd Aug 2024 (9 weeks ago)I Changed Agents to Housefox after my previous sale fell through at 3.5 months of the selling process. Note to sellers…….. if your buyers are Cash Buyers make absolutely sure your agent gets proof of funds…………. and double check this early on in the process. Housefox were really great and I would definately recommend.

We were guided through the entire process, including last minute challenges, with professionalism and with a smile. Great company to deal with, nothing too much trouble. Cost very competitive. Plan to use Nexa for all our requirements in the future.

12th Aug 2024 (8 weeks ago)From first contact with MG Estate Agents, they were on time for our agreed appointment. I met with Gavin who was very polite, he wanted to know about the life in my fathers property before going onto our thoughts about the selling price. He was very knowledgeable about houses up for sale or ones that had just been sold. He went through how MG would go about advertising the property and process. I was very impressed with the street app the company uses which keeps you fully updated with viewings and feed back on how it went. I have been able to contact MG Estate agents with ease, and they have answered any questions I have had. The company were very active with the selling of the property and very quickly had it up live and brought viewers to see the property, i believe the house was marketed at the right price, which brought the viewings. I would use this company again in the future and have no hesitation in recommending them to family and friends. Carole Mead

5th Jul 2024 (13 weeks ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
4th Jul 2024 (13 weeks ago)Chase Buchanan are a new business but not new to the industry, we first met with Alex and set expectations, Alex was honest and realistic with no boring sales talk. We marketed the house and then Michelle took over on viewings, Michelle sold the house within two vieiwngs and less then 4 days for full asking price. Some houses in our area with other estate agents have been on the market months, with reductions in asking. Alex, Michele and the team at chase Buchanan are excellent, won’t take them long to become the number one estate agents in downend.
