I recently had a bad experience at an EA around the corner …However, I called in at Hunters and dealing with the professionalism knowledge and kindness that Lyndsey gave me was very special. She goes above and beyond to really help you .. I can’t recommend her or Hunters enough. This is what I call an estate agent.

3rd Jun 2024 (8 weeks ago)Five stars really isn’t enough to convey our gratitude to Carters Estate Agents for their ongoing support & excellent service during the sale of our property. From our first meeting to value our property, they were incredibly professional, friendly and helpful. Our sale has been a complicated one, with a large chain & several issues from our initial developer (new build), which has meant Carters have had to liaise with many third parties to provide thorough and regular updates. They have checked in with us throughout, offering moral support as well as everything else. Without their support, our move would have been so much more stressful. A big thank you & shout out to Alex who we have worked with throughout. Alex you are fantastic at your job, and have been an absolute star for us from start to finish. Thank you so much, we are extremely grateful and couldn’t recommend you enough!

5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)I genuinely cannot put into words how excellent Next Place are! Firstly, I was a little sceptical that the OIEO price would be too low for what I wanted to get for my property, however I trusted the team who explained this would appear in more searches etc. Anyway, within the first 3 days of the property being on the market, I had a bit of a bidding war and got exactly what I wanted! So definitely trust the process. Holly dealt with the sales process and was excellent. She could also suss out which offers seemed to be a bit flakey vs who seemed to be a really reliable buyer, which really helped! The aftersales team, Nicola & Abby, were absolutely exceptional I have to say. This was further highlighted by the agent for my onward property being woeful and it really demonstrated to me what I was getting from Next Place vs what other agents were offering. Nicola & Abby were giving me and my buyer at least weekly updates from the solicitor and were chasing my onward agents, being able to tell me more about the chain than they could (baring in mind the other agent had all of the properties further up the chain!!!!) It really meant that I could sit back and be informed, rather than having to chase continuous updates myself and made the process way less stressful. It also helps that they have excellent relationships with all of the local solicitors too! I am moving out of the Tamworth area, but honestly would use Next Place again no matter what area I am in because the service is top class!

18th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

12th Mar 2024 (20 weeks ago)The local branch director was remote and almost impossible to contact. The sales girls were hopeless. For example, they got the name of one prospective byer wrong three times in emails, they arranged unaccompanied viewings without consulting us despite being told to email rather than phone for early morning rather than afternoon as specified by us and without checking the potential byers actual ability to make the purchase. When we had had enough of this pantomime I finally managed to speak to the director, although I had specified the communication should be by email, and reiterated our concerns with their service thus far to which he responded: "What do you want me to do" so I told him in no uncertain terms what I would like him to do.

17th Jun 2024 (6 weeks ago)Amun, did an amazing job in letting my property in Birmingham. It was languishing, untenanted with another agent for several months. He turned it around and let it within no time it was let to a very good tenant. Well done Amun - very happy Landlord!!
5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
