The offer of a lift saved time as I had travelled some distance to view the area. This was extremely helpful. Your Agent was very friendly and helpful and made the viewings pleasant and relaxed.
26th Jun 2023 (1 year ago)Rang in the morning to book a viewing as was keen to see a property, was told someone would call back shortly, I also asked if the property was still available and it was. Just over an hour and a half and no call back, rang again but I wouldn’t get put through to sales. Eventually got a call back and a very blunt women said sorry is sold subject to contract so can’t get a viewing. Which is fair enough but the tone it came across was not the best. Didn’t even get offered any other properties, or get asked what my budget or type of property I was looking for. Clearly not wanting to sell properties to anyone.
6th Feb 2024 (25 weeks ago)We received outstanding service from all the team at Thomas Merrifield, from placing the house on the market to completion. Marketing was excellent and the house sold very quickly. Nothing was too much trouble for them, especially Charlie who regularly kept in touch with updates as the sale proceeded. Charlie was 'our rock' throughout; nothing was too much trouble for him, reassuring and supporting us at every stage. We would highly recommend the team and give 10 stars (if it were possible!)

He helped with multiple viewings and answered all my queries regarding the property and clarified the rental processes to me clearly. When I decided to leave the property, Filipe contacted me in advance regarding potential new tenants viewings and took all my requests into consideration. Filipe has a friendly and approachable manner, in addition to being professional at all times.

We made an appointment to get our house valued and potentially for them to represent us. Appointment was confirmed but the day before the appointment, we were advised that we were ‘better off with a local agent’. The sales manager was polite and did recommend a good local agent that had excellent customer service, professional and follow-up was 2nd to none. That I thank Saville for as we sold our property very quickly. Our only complaint about Savills is that they should have told us from the onset that our property was not what they sell.

I can't thank them enough for their advice and guidance, their knowledge and support and for how great their communications were, right from the initial meeting with Lucy through to Michelle seeing us through the sale progression. Big shout out to Gerry who carried us through everything and reassured us whenever we worried. Her expertise I truly believe got us the best possible price and a fantastic buyer. 26th Jun 2024 (4 weeks ago)So disappointed and had to pull out of a property purchase due to lack of disclosures. Waste of both mine and vendors time, plus I’m out of pocket having had to pay conveyancing fees. Agent needs to be more transparent and honest to avoid these situations.

In particular Sal Hussein (head of sales) and the rest of the team in the sales department including Sacha. I achieved a very good price for my house, the negotiations were brilliantly handled and I am thrilled with the result (I hear the buyers are too!) thanks Sal and team!

Communication was excellent, very quick and any issue dealt with promptly and efficiently. I would pick them without hesitation if I was to let my house again. Well done and thank you!

12th Jul 2023 (1 year ago)We had arranged to rent a property through them following a video viewing due to where we were at the time and having been assured it had a secure garden for our dog and that it had outside storage as no garage at the property.. both were essential. We paid a substantial holding deposit that has never been refunded even though following a niggling gut instinct that saw us driving 4 hrs to check the property before moving in date saw us discover that in fact the garden was open between the property and the next door property allowing our dog to get through into a public lane that led to a main road or a huge public recreation area, there was no external storage at all, the property had not been decorated in years and windowsills actually had huge chunks of paint missing, the back door had a huge hole in it and the kitchen units were in a dire state.... the current tenants also advised us that the carpets were going as were theirs.... The video never showed us any of this.... It's been a valuable lesson learned..
1st Jul 2024 (26 days ago)After inviting 6 local agents to the house to appraise and value our property Nick from Home finders came out on top for us. He was interested in what we had done to the house, and recognised its potential being on a large corner plot. He also lived a short distance from our house so had great local knowledge . We found the valuations variable between the agents. As we wanted to use a strategy range to achieve what we believed the property was worth .Many other agents wanted to play safe in order to get a 'Certain sale', some 15 to 20 k lower, which was good for them but not necessarily ourselves . We achieved the best price we possibly could on a near offer basis as we weren't looking for the asking price in the first instance. We just needed an agent who was flexible enough to work with us in this regard. Home finders arranged viewings ,always giving us formal notice which was very handy in order that we could tidy and make sure everything was in its place. We got a formal offer on the property on a subject to contract basis which we were happy with in a little under 4 weeks. All the team at Home finders that i personally dealt with were very professional and effective ,and just get on with the job of selling your house . Obviously there is always a little luck involved as you need to find someone who loves your home as much as you do. So its really about getting the right people through the front door initially, Which Home finders were able to do.

They say moving is one of the most stressful times in a person’s life and it certainly has been for me, but I’ve always found the team in Faringdon to be compassionate, professional and good at communication. I’m very grateful to be able to walk into the office and be able to speak to a real person. They have made me feel valued. Thank you for everything Paige and Sharon and to the entire Faringdon team.
