15th Apr 2024 (11 days ago)I rented out my flat and had it manged by Blake Stanley for 18 months from April 2022 and unfortunately never felt confident they were managing it professionally. I always had to chase up on emails and felt like I was managing it myself most of the time. I have now left Blake Stanley and renting my flat out with another agent. Sadly I cannot recommend them any longer which is a shame because my last experience of them, when they first opened, was great.

They assisted in a crisis when another local letting agent made me homeless due to their incompetence. John German were professional, helpful, communicated with me at every stage and got me moved into a property within a week! All of the staff were fantastic and they made what was a very stressful event, absolutely seamless. Big thanks to all!

They literally eased my anxiety because the never took their eyes of the ball! I get quite overwhelmed by technical jargon but anything I didn’t understand was explained to me in a way I could understand. I can’t recommend them enough. If I could give 6 stars I would. Thanks so much to these hardworking and dedicated ladies for all they have done for me :)

1st Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)Left feeling extremely frustrated and disappointed. Throughout our entire process of having our house on the market for 6 months, me and my wife have been left completely alone in the majority of the process to chase up viewers, answer queries and have been the constant go between to solicitors/house developer. It appears quite clearly there is either a lack of communication between the staff or just simply a complete lack of interest or effort when it comes to helping us sell our home. The only time Ian picked up the phone to contact us throughout the entire process was to rush us into our next home that wasn’t even built yet or force us into rented accommodation, which from our first meeting with him we made clear was a non-negotiable due to understandable work/family arrangements. Whenever someone went on annual leave or was off work, there was no clear handover and our viewings/queries got completely shoved to the bottom of the pile and we AGAIN had to chase things up which often resulted in speaking to a confused member of staff who had no idea what we were talking about. The large majority of our viewings we have had have been people who haven’t had any agreement in principles with their bank and so we have spent all this time and effort making our home look at the best condition possible for a viewing, just for a few days later to have a half-arsed response from YourMove telling us they couldn’t afford it anyway. This is something since going on with another, much better estate agent we have realised should’ve been discussed in the first phone call with a potential viewer. Me and my wife are fully aware of the situation of the market right now and understand the difficulty (more than ever) in selling a home, however I 100% believe this would’ve been achieved with more clear communication and effort made from the estate agents. I am never someone to write negative reviews, however because we have completely wasted 6 months of our time, effort and emotions on doing 99% of the leg work ourselves, I really don’t want anyone else to have to go through what we have.

17th Apr 2024 (9 days ago)I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the services provided by Ashley Adams estate agents. My experience has been nothing short of appalling, and I feel compelled to write this review. * Despite numerous attempts to contact Molly, I have received no response. The lack of communication and unresponsiveness have caused unnecessary stress and frustration. * As a customer, I expected timely and professional communication throughout the process, but unfortunately, this has not been the case. * Handling of the sale was done inappropriately, quick to take the deposit but no support afterwards. * Travis didn't stick to his words of 'I'll collate all the information and get back in touch'. * I was informed by Travis that the holding deposit fee would be returned if the deal with the property fell through, which it did for reasons that are legally acceptable. However, it is now approaching almost 3 months, and I have not received the refund. This delay is unacceptable, and I demand immediate action to rectify the situation which I can’t see happening any time soon.

18th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

After being disappointed with another agent we moved to EweMove and we sold within 2 weeks! Victoria gave us a complete personal service, giving us regular feedback, offering good advice and being very supportive. I think EweMove is the future model for estate agents. I would highly recommend EweMove and specifically Victoria when buying and selling your home.

His attention to detail when taking photos really does ensure your home is advertised in the best way possible. Sammy is understanding to individual circumstances and is on hand with transparent and honest advice, information and feedback. Sammy adds a personal touch by completing viewings personally meaning some of the stress was taken away of selling a home and also being available after and before office hours accommodating to work and home life pressures. I am about to exchange and complete on my sale and I can not thank Sammy enough for his work and support. I fully and honestly recommend Open House Burton and Swadlincote!
