Nevertheless we received an outstanding service from David Bell who worked tirelessly to oil the wheels of our purchase. On more than one occasion we received calls from him well after the office had closed, to reassure us of something or to impart some information he had discovered. Many thanks to David and the team.
11th Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)Persuaded by them to change from another agent & wished we hadn't. Poor communication,- we constantly had to chase them for any information. Messages from us were not passed on. Often found information from them to be incorrect. Generally felt unsupported& uninformed.

Everyone at Goadsbys has been so professional, so helpful and so friendly and reassuring. The whole team has acted wisely throughout all the negotiations and guided us through some rough patches. We have been in good and safe hands throughout the marketing and the sale itself and we are delighted to be able to successfully move near our daughter early in the New Year. We could not have been more pleased with the service Goadsbys has given us and we highly recommend them. I shall miss the frequent, friendly contact!

Nicky and Marcus in the sales progression team were brilliant at keeping us updated throughout the lengthy and problematic purchase. (Issues not a fault of Domus). 15th Jan 2026 (16 weeks ago)Our experience with this agent was extremely disappointing and, frankly, shocking. We initially viewed the property with the vendor, and everything seemed positive. The house was listed just under £760k. At the time, our budget could stretch to around £700k (possibly slightly more). We were told this wouldn’t be enough as there was an offer of £725k on the table, although that buyer still needed to sell. On that basis, we stepped back. Several weeks later, after running the numbers again and while our own sale was uncertain, we increased our offer to £710k. After a lengthy phone conversation, the agent told us repeatedly that £725k was the figure required for a deal and that anything below this would not be considered. We were also told the vendor was thinking of withdrawing the property from the market until spring. Once our buyer had sold again, we managed to stretch to £725k and arranged a second viewing to finalise matters. During that viewing, the vendor was surprised to hear that £725k had been presented as an acceptable figure — she stated she had never told the agent she would accept this and was actually looking for much closer to £750k. When we raised this with the agent, they denied everything that had previously been said and refused to provide call recordings to clarify the situation. When pressed, the conversation became abrupt and the phone call was cut off. Had we simply been told from the start that the vendor wanted closer to £750k, we would have accepted that and made an informed decision. Instead, we were repeatedly told that £725k was the deal figure, only to later discover this was not true. This showed a serious lack of professionalism and transparency, wasted time, and caused unnecessary stress. My advice to anyone dealing with this agent is to record your own conversations. In our case, clear discussions were later denied and no call recordings were provided when requested.

18th Dec 2025 (20 weeks ago)Sarah Cull and here team were amazing and we were so pleased with the service we received. Nothing was too much trouble and after hours calls were never a problem. A special mention for Carola who carried out the viewings and was so respectful of our property. We had multiple offers in a difficult market and it took under 6 weeks from offer accepted to exchange - the buyers were a perfect match for our much-loved home. An excellent experience all round.

Every phase has been uncomplicated and professional. Iain is always clear and concise, and has exceptional office support from Claire, Aimee and the rest of the team. 21st Apr 2026 (14 days ago)Selling our parents' home with Forum was an excellent decision. We hoped we would have a supportive estate agent and we were not disappointed. From the first meeting Martin was enthusiastic about selling the property, shared very useful advice, understood the sensitivity required following a recent bereavement and was indeed very supportive. The photographs presented the house and garden beautifully and we were very happy with the brochures. He provided feedback following the viewings which we took on board and it was this advice, that I believe, clinched the deal. Working with Martin motivated me to keep moving forward and change things within the house to appeal to a wider audience. Communication via WhatsApp ensured we knew when viewings would be happening, and speaking on the phone was also really important, to share information and ideas. I also spoke with Ashley a couple of times which I found very helpful. Martin's enthusiasm and positivity about the house and it's potential ensured the perfect family bought the property and we are delighted with how it has all worked out. Thank you.

The staff are always polite, attentive and go above and beyond your expectations. I highly recommend them whether renting or selling. Nothing is too much trouble and the whole team have good knowledge of the current market conditions. We were kept informed of the sale process at all times which led to a very smooth sale. Thanks to all the team and I have no hesitation to recommending them.

He explained everything thoroughly and answered all our questions with patience and clarity. What stood out most was his compassion and understanding of our situation. Joe approached it with genuine care and sensitivity. I would highly recommend Joe and Greys Estate Agents for their professionalism, expertise, and thoughtful approach.
18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Advice offered, honest experience led answers given to questions and a friendly voice at the end of the phone during a stressful few days of closing the deal. This is an estate agent run by people who care, know their stuff and work to ensure all parties are happy with the result. Communication was on point getting answers from the vendor quickly as well as answering questions outside of ‘normal’ working hours all to help ensure the process went smoothly. Thank you.

The way he promoted our beloved family home with aerial views via drones, and show cased the photos and video really promoted it was amazing, which brought in viewings and finally someone viewed my home three times and an offer was made and we sold it, in the meantime the property I wanted was still for sale, offer went in and today we sit in our new home having moved 24/04/26. Well done Nick it is something to be proud of.

Beckie was very understanding of our initial concerns but we quickly felt at ease with her knowledge and experience.
