Being in the market for a while Iv dealt with many estate agents who keep all cards close to their chest and don’t really bother building a relationship with serious buyers. Nari was different he build a good relationship with me as a buyer and at the same time had the sellers interests first. He managed to balance the situation well. A very transparent estate agent no games nothing. Straight up good man. Would highly recommended.

The whole team are outstanding, but in particular, we would like to acknowledge Senior Property Sales Negotiator, Carole Seaton, whose service, experience and guidance during the sales process were second to none. Carole made us feel well informed and confident in our decisions. She also felt like our best pal, who truly wanted the best for us. We can’t imagine having done this without her, and we are so very grateful. Thank you also to Fraser and Tracy, and the whole team, whose absolute professionalism and courtesy were appreciated so very much. Paris Steele, you are amazing. You made a difficult thing very easy! Thanks again!
7th Jan 2026 (9 mo. ago)WARNING!! Richard murray acted as co executor having written my mothers will. He was not appointed by her but by her named executor. He sided and was partial to one group of beneficiaries over another. He chose the ones nearest the property of most help to him to side with, making his job easier. The family was fractured but he showed no ability to deal with this shutting down and refusing to engage with one side. Preferentially treating the other side. He went back on his legal advice reversing decisions that suited him. Including and implementing wishes he decided my mother made Verbally only to the one side of the family, the side he demonstrated favour with. When ‘wishes’ my mother had made to the other side were brought to him he dismissed them. Biased and unfair and cruel in his handling of the estate. Delaying the inheritance by permitting one beneficiary to live rent free in the property for some fourteen months post my mothers death. Not mentioned in the will, nor discussed. Between himself, his Company or my mother - but on the say so of the side he favoured! The implemented ‘say sos’ were decided without full disclosure or discussion or transparency and he was unaccountable in that He acted like a dictator refusing telephone calls , zoom meetings or email discussions. He dragged out a simple direct will into two years of hell, stress and unnecessary expense because he favoured and decided always in favour of one half of the beneficiaries over the other. Do not write a will with this Company. They have demonstrated they are incapable of writing one correctly , giving proper advice to my Mother , and incapable of implementing it as it’s written in any event. AVOID! It’s 2026 and there are still repercussions from Richard Murray @Connell&Connell’s mis writing and massive failures in executing our Mothers will. Save yourselves a whole lot of unprofessional and uncaring and biased,will handling and don’t use this man.

Delivery of the sale was absolutely on time, and Katie's liason with our buyers solicitor was exemplary.<br><br>I cannot recommend her and Ralph Sayer enough.

Their comprehensive support alleviated any concerns I might have had. The team's friendly and helpful approach, coupled with their outstanding customer service, was truly commendable. Their profound knowledge of the market and strategic application of various techniques ensured the attraction of suitable prospective buyers. Despite the inherently stressful nature of the process, their involvement significantly eased my burden. Therefore, a massive thank you to Adrian King and his fantastic team up in Dunfermline branch! 3rd Nov 2023 (3 years ago)(While the company did finally provide compensation, it's important to note that I still experienced a significant opportunity cost as a result of their actions.) It has undeniably been the most regrettable experience of my lifetime, dealing with a solicitor team that exhibited a severe lack of professionalism and courtesy. Initially, I placed my trust in them based on their positive Google reviews, which now appear to be misleading and have led to significant frustration and inconvenience on my part. The solicitor in question was Shari, who astonishingly took a full year to complete the anti-money laundering check, despite my having submitted all required documents promptly. To compound matters, she repeatedly requested the same information, leading to redundant submissions. Regrettably, she ceased all communication, failing to respond to both my emails and those from the seller's side. My attempts to reach her went unanswered for two months until she seemingly disappeared without a trace. I was dismayed to find myself in such a predicament. In desperation, I enlisted the assistance of the estate agent, who contacted Joni, the National Head of Conveyancing. However, this interaction proved to be equally disheartening, as Joni not only displayed a lack of professionalism but also declined to provide any insight into the unilateral breach of contract, responding in a profane manner. I strongly advise against engaging with this company. As a result of their inefficiency, my funds remained in limbo within my bank account, as I had initially believed they could promptly resolve their business matters. Consequently, I have incurred substantial financial losses due to the failure of Simpson & Marwick to deliver on their commitments.

25th Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)We sold our flat through Coulters in 2026 and had a fantastic experience with the company, and everyone we engaged with in the valuation and selling teams. Coulters helped us get ready for the sale, arranging photography and sales brochures, which came out really well thanks to lots of guidance from their side. After we got our sales particulars ready, it took us a while to make the decision that we were ready to put our flat on the market, but Coulters put no pressure on us over that period of time, and instead continued to advise us and discuss our sales strategy, including when might be the optimal time to put our property on the market, so we can be in a position to buy a new property with a minimal chain/not having to rent in between. Our main contact at Coulters was Francesca Hill who supported us from the first time of reaching out to Coulters, up to the point of unpacking boxes in our new home. Francesca's advice throughout the whole process was truly invaluable, especially in the highly competitive property market in Edinburgh, and we appreciated how professional, experienced and constructive Francesca was. Selling/buying a new home is stressful, but doing it with someone like Francesca on the other end of a phone/email really makes a huge difference.

We cannot speak highly enough of their services, having had no issues the entire time. Their team has made each process smooth by acting quickly and keeping us fully up to date at each step. They explain everything in a clear, friendly and thorough manner and let us know what to do and when. Their professionalism, transparency and support is always very much appreciated. We have and will continue to recommend them very highly to anyone.
12th Oct 2026 (23 days ago)If I could give 0 stars I would.<br><br>Extremely disappointing service – would not recommend<br><br>I would not recommend Watermans based on our experience purchasing our new home. What should have been a straightforward process became unnecessarily stressful due to repeated delays, poor communication and a lack of organisation.<br><br>Our mortgage in principle was seemingly not dealt with for around 2–3 weeks, and we were then informed approximately two weeks before completion that Watermans was not on our mortgage lender’s panel. This should have been identified at the very beginning, rather than leaving us scrambling to find another solicitor at short notice and worrying about whether our transaction would go through on time.<br><br>Communication was another major issue. We experienced significant delays in receiving responses, and our selling solicitors at Warners were left chasing Watermans for information, with some matters reportedly outstanding for weeks. We should not have had to continually chase for updates when we were paying for a professional service to manage the legal process.<br><br>We were also disappointed with our experience dealing with Megan, whose manner we found rude and unpleasant, and with the lack of communication from Hannah, who left us waiting for responses for prolonged periods. To add to this, our name was spelt incorrectly on a Minute of Agreement we had paid for, which only added to our concerns about attention to detail.<br><br>Buying and selling a home is stressful enough without having to deal with avoidable delays, last-minute problems and constant uncertainty. Much of this could have been prevented with better communication, organisation and basic checks at the outset.<br><br>I genuinely feel the service we received fell well below the standard we expected. I would strongly encourage anyone considering using Watermans for a property transaction to think carefully about their options. We have raised our concerns formally and hope they take them seriously, investigate what went wrong
