2nd May 2026 (3 days ago)I had a very disappointing experience with Gatekeepers when trying to sell my flat earlier this year. We initially approached them in early February and discussed a realistic asking price of around £230,000. However, they listed the property at £235,000. When I questioned this, I was told it was based on my mum’s suggestion — which is simply not true, and in any case, not appropriate justification. As the agent, they are supposed to provide expert guidance on pricing, not deflect responsibility. Over the course of approximately 10–11 weeks, they managed to secure just one viewing. Communication was extremely poor — I received no regular updates and had to constantly chase for basic information. When I raised concerns about the lack of progress and asked what they would do to improve the situation, there was no clear strategy, no proactive plan, and no effort to generate interest. Instead, I was told that market conditions were difficult and that “nothing is selling,” which felt more like an excuse than a solution. To make matters worse, when I asked to exit the agreement early due to the lack of results, this was refused. Despite acknowledging the challenges, they insisted I remain tied in until the full contract period ended on April 27th, meaning I continued to incur mortgage costs with no progress on the sale. Overall, the service was unprofessional, reactive rather than proactive, and lacked accountability. I would not recommend using Gatekeepers based on my experience.

This meant they were always on hand to deal with viewings and issues arising immediately. The majority of contact was with Rob, however the whole team were very courteous, knowledgeable and responded to communications promptly. Would certainly recommend Ted George and would use them again.

6th Feb 2026 (13 weeks ago)Not very kind of you to delete my review. Guess I’ll just have to say it again. Everyone is entitled to tell the truth aren’t they Andy? I would appreciate it if you could not delete it this time. I honestly don't even know where to begin with this Man. If you listen to any of these reviews listen to this one. I've spent two years renting a property from 'Davis and partners' they have left me in there for 6 months with no boiler/heating. Black mould everywhere to the point l've had to get an inhaler and steroids. Told me the plumbing and pipe work was not his problem thus causing my bath to fill up everytime I shower and does not drain for two days. About a year ago the upstairs neighbours had a leak it came through my ceiling, going into all of my electrics. Andy told me I was '1000%' safe? And it was just an egg cup full of water! His solution to this mess, was sending a contractor' who stuck the sewage filled wallpaper back to my ceiling and painted over it. Not only this but he also stood on my Hob and cracked it down the middle. Most recently we're talking just a few days here, my upstairs neighbour drained her bath and the entire thing came through my ceiling in the hallway and bathroom. The lights have filled up with water causing my electricity to trip and his response was there is nothing he can do I have to sort it myself. This man is a disgrace and has no problem whatsoever leaving people to live in dire conditions but he has no problem renovating his new office and bragging about it online. He also failed to tell me for two years my rent has been going into the wrong account and when I said I felt extremely uncomfortable with this, his response to me was "okay Casey I'm just simply asking you to pay the rent into the correct account?" I'm just struggling to understand why and how this was not mentioned two years ago? Furthermore, on the 18th of December I emailed Andy with a list of repairs, I then received an eviction notice Dated the same day. I would Recommend not using this estate agent if you would not like to be scammed and left to live in conditions no person should live in. My upstairs neighbour has two very small children and I think it's a disgrace to leave them in such danger. This poor excuse of an estate agent will not help you nor does he care to. No human should be left to live in the conditions this man has no issue leaving people in.

The viewing and offer process was good with some advice on how best to present the property for prospective buyers. While our whole move was not straight forward, Jo kept us well informed at all stages, and was able to help us stay on course when we ran into issues. 3rd Mar 2020 (6 years ago)I was really pleased with the level of service I received from Chris. We initially had our property on with another agency in Banbury, and we didn't feel as though it was being pushed properly. We would get a different agent at every viewing, so they were never really able to get to know the quirks and selling points our property and the activity level was pretty low. After a few months we switched to F&C. Although it was more expensive, we chose Chris firstly because of his level of understanding of our type of home and the local area. Also, we were impressed with how proactive he was, even before we signed up. Not long into partnering, we were getting viewings left, right and centre. Chris managed to sell our house quickly and we were out of there within three weeks of accepting an offer! Very happy and would recommend!

After a disastrous start with another estate agent which almost lost me the house I really wanted to buy, I instructed Century 21 and Jason pulled everything together. Jason got my property sold very quickly in an urgent situation working late into the night to get my property listed and negotiated my purchase so that everything was held together, despite various difficulties along the way, and I got my dream home. He is extremely proactive and responds quickly to messages seven days a week and outside normal working hours. I cannot thank him enough for his hard work, and dedication in getting my sale and purchase over the line. He is truly passionate about his work and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
