Also we bought this house from Masons and were very pleased with them as buyers. All staff are friendly and polite and helpful. We have had monthly revies and good feedback from them on the state of the market.

31st Jul 2023 (3 years ago)Living in Bridlington and having to sell my parents property in Louth I was unsure of which estate agent to use , however , I just recalled that a board with "John Taylor " on had been outside my grandparents property way back so I decided on that. What a great decision that was, John Taylor have been exceptional from day one to completion, always at the end of the phone with help and advice, great communications as to when viewings would be ( the property was empty and the keys left with John Taylor, and a great understanding that this was not just a house sale to me but the sale of my family home for the last 69 years, the house I grew up in and called home for all those years. I cannot fault them in any way , the only word I can use is "exceptional" Special thanks to Anne who was outstanding , she is a star. kindest regards to all at John Taylor and many many thanks . I wholeheartedly recommend this agency.<br><br>I would especially like to thank Danielle Stott from the Skegness branch, who, in my opinion, truly deserves special recognition for her exceptional dedication, professionalism, and commitment to her work.<br><br>I recently purchased a house, and Danielle provided me with an outstanding level of support from beginning to end. She was always there to answer my questions and explain every detail clearly, even helping me with information regarding utility bills after the purchase. The number of emails, the excellent communication, the constant flow of information, and the precision with which she handled everything were truly impressive and deserve recognition.<br><br>I would also like to mention that I was probably not the easiest client, as I had previous experiences with other agencies that made me more cautious and meant that I needed additional explanations and reassurance. Despite this, Danielle was incredibly patient and took the time to make sure I fully understood every stage of the process. OUR EXPERIENCE WITH SAVILLS WAS APPALLING.<br><br>ONE STAR IS TOO MANY!!<br><br>Our experience as buyers of a property marketed by Savills has left us with absolutely no confidence in them whatsoever.<br><br>We entered this purchase believing the vendors were involved in a normal onward property purchase. What we subsequently discovered was that they were actually buying a new-build property that had not yet been built.<br><br>That distinction was rather important to us. Had we understood the true position and the potential timescale from the outset, it could have materially affected our decisions.<br><br>Instead, we ultimately spent NINE MONTHS in rented accommodation waiting for the vendors to move.<br><br>During the process we were given the impression by the Savills selling agent that the vendors could move into rented accommodation or stay with family. Yet when the delays continued, we were subsequently told they could not do so.<br><br>As buyers, it felt as though the reality of the situation kept changing depending upon what was necessary to keep the transaction together.<br><br>Then came the fridge freezer.<br><br>The property had been marketed to us at a fixed price, with no offers, and there was an integrated fridge freezer housed within the fitted kitchen cabinetry. We were subsequently told that the vendor intended to remove it.<br><br>We disputed this.<br><br>After raising the issue, the Savills agent told us that she had sorted the dispute and that the fridge freezer WOULD BE STAYING.<br><br>After everything we had already endured, we relied upon that assurance.<br><br>Nine months after entering temporary accommodation, we finally completed, collected the keys and walked into our new home.<br><br>The integrated fridge-freezer housing was empty.<br><br>The appliance we had specifically disputed, and which we had specifically been told would remain, had been removed.<br><br>That neatly sums up our experience.<br><br>An estate agent acts for the seller—we fully understand that. What we expect, however, is for information given to prospective buyers to be clear, accurate and reliable. Buyers make enormous financial and practical decisions based upon what they are told during a property transaction.<br><br>We sold our home, moved into rented accommodation, paid the associated costs, waited nine months and ultimately purchased this property. We therefore had every right to expect straightforward communication.<br><br>Instead, our experience left us feeling that the seller’s interests were protected while we, as buyers, were expected simply to absorb whatever changed along the way.<br><br>I would certainly not trust verbal assurances from Savills again.<br><br>If you are buying a property through them, my advice based on our experience is simple:<br><br>Get EVERYTHING in writing.<br><br>Do not rely upon conversations about the vendor’s circumstances. Do not rely upon assurances about timescales. Do not rely upon statements about what is being left at the property. Have anything important confirmed formally through your solicitor before you make decisions or incur costs based upon it.<br><br>Perhaps our experience would have felt very different had we been the vendors. From a seller’s perspective, having an agent fight relentlessly for your interests may be exactly what you want.<br><br>But as buyers, we came away feeling managed rather than informed.<br><br>After nine months in rented accommodation and finally arriving at a house with an empty space where the integrated fridge freezer we had specifically been assured would remain should have been, I think that feeling is entirely understandable.<br><br>I would never choose to buy a property marketed by this Savills office again.

Experienced zero support even when I tried to discuss strategy to ensure better interest in my property. I feel I wasted 16 weeks with little communication or care. Glad to be moving on with another local agent who has already proved themselves to be much more engaged with the seller than I experienced with Hunters in Horncastle.

17th Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)I have recently purchased a property through Willsons which turned out to be quite a lengthy affair<br>None of the delays were due to Willsons and I can highly recommend Alice Paskin from Willsons sales who remained professional and informative throughout the entire process from making my initial offer to picking up the keys on completion She was constantly chasing in order to achieve the desired result and was always available for updates

Used there recomended solicitors (stonebow law) very fast and responsive service, if I ever had any questions or worries I could either call them or the estate agents they were all on the same page. Very happy in our new home thankyou to all involved ?????? ?????? ??

The focus on the presentation helped get people in the door and I believe heled them see themselves in the flat. He was helpful through the offer process when I was keen to take the first one. I’m glad I didn’t.

26th Oct 2026 (6 days ago)We recently sold my parents' home through Homemove, and the service we received from Ben Sales and Charlotte was outstanding from start to finish. Ben was fantastic throughout the process. He spent a great deal of time with my mum and dad, carefully explaining everything and making sure they understood each stage of the sale. What really stood out was the respect and patience he showed them. Unlike some other agents we met, who directed their questions to me rather than my parents, Ben always made them feel involved, listened to, and valued, building that trust was really important to my parents (and to myself) to ensure they felt as comfortable as possible in what is a stressful time. Charlotte, our Sales Progressor, was equally brilliant. Her communication was excellent throughout, and she worked tirelessly to keep things moving. She was constantly chasing updates from solicitors, other estate agents, our buyer, and all the various parties involved, keeping us informed every step of the way. Selling a property that our family has lived in for 50 years has been incredibly stressful and emotional, but Ben and Charlotte made the whole experience so much easier with their professionalism, dedication, and genuine care for their clients. We are incredibly grateful for all their hard work and would not hesitate to recommend Homemove to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.
