20th Oct 2026 (13 days ago)If only all estate agents were like Elliott & Smith<br>We recently sold our property with Elliott & Smith and we really appreciated the friendly, efficient and professional manner of all the staff regarding viewings and the whole sales process, we were always kept informed.<br>Zuhre especially, helped us from the day we decided to sell right through to getting the exchange/completion date agreed.<br>Moving is very stressful but Elliott & Smith definitely made it a lot easier it’s just a shame we couldn’t find the right house to buy through them.
4th Aug 2026 (13 weeks ago)I can not praise the staff here highly enough. To start, handling the home of a recently deceased and much loved Mother must be tough. But, the careful balance of compassion, care, professionalism and then the business was navigated with incredible skill. The ease with which the house went on the market was amazing, the pictures, description, the overall presentation was so impressive I almost bought it myself.<br>More than that though, when all was concluded the aftercare and advice was so very much appreciated.<br>I will never be able to praise or thank the team enough.<br>A particular mention to Jack and Michaela, who had to endure more than they ever should.<br>Myself and Fudge (shshsh it’s a secret) thank you, from the pieces of my heart

29th Aug 2026 (9 weeks ago)I should have written this review a long time ago, but even to this day, thinking about the whole situation still makes me angry. I kept putting off writing this review, but I’ve decided it’s better to say something now than never. My experience with Hopson Property Southend was extremely disappointing. The service was poor, and the manager, Richard, was not helpful when it came to resolving our issue. There were no call-backs, no proper follow-ups, and we were constantly having to chase them for updates. What really frustrated me was how proactive they were when it came to demanding money, yet when it came to actually solving problems, there was very little urgency or cooperation. Despite making numerous attempts to get the matter resolved, nothing was properly sorted and we were ultimately left with no choice but to give up because they simply would not cooperate. This was an extremely frustrating experience, and the way the situation was handled has stayed with me to this day. I would not recommend them based on our experience. I would give it a negative star if there was an option.

22nd Aug 2025 (1 year ago)Poor surveying of completely straight boundaries by Guy Imray, no understanding of Land Registry plans due to no knowledge of encroachments. Viewed property then cuts off boundary wall completely (neighbours wall encroaches at front only)!

He took the time to understand our situation and always tried to find solutions that worked for everyone involved. What impressed me most was how approachable and easy to contact he was.<br>The entire team at Barat Estate Agents were helpful, supportive, and professional.<br>I would highly recommend Barat Estate Agents to anyone looking for a reliable, understanding, and professional estate agent. 26th Oct 2026 (7 days ago)Wonderful people to rent with<br><br>My mum and grandmother speak so highly of them and after the experience of renting my first flat with them with my partner I can say myself aswell they are a wonderful estate agents to have.<br><br>The communication is always there and they reply very quickly to any questions the viewing process was great and the whole process of passing checks was very quick<br><br>Can’t recommend enough to anyone who’s also looking for their first time home and wondering who to have their agents be<br><br>10/10

31st Aug 2026 (9 weeks ago)Would appear the house was over valued by the estate agent so setting wrong expectations about what price could be achieved. Minimal viewings Person showing the house (not the exp lead) arrived at the same time as the potential buyers so house wasn’t opened up or displayed to best advantage No communication from the estate agent I would not use exp again. Very disappointed.

As a letting agent they have taken away all of our worries and concerns as they know all of the up to date policies and procedure's and the legal side to letting a property, thank you.
