16th Jul 2026 (16 weeks ago)I received the most appalling treatment by the man who was answering my calls to try and arrange a viewing one of this agency's rental properties.<br>For over the course of more than a week, I had to chase them repeatedly because I wasn't receiving any updates. One member of staff had previously told me the delay was because they were unable to reach the current tenant. However, when this man answered my calls, I was given a completely different explanation.<br><br>The most concerning part was the way I was spoken to. I had previously asked a simple question to ask about what the neighbours were like, which is a perfectly reasonable question when considering where to live. Instead of answering professionally or simply saying they couldn't comment, he sighed, even raised his voice, and told me it's an 'unusual request'. He also repeatedly mentioned a 'difficult neighbour' in the building, despite the fact this had nothing to do with the viewing as he was not living adjacent to the flat I was enquiring about, it was also unrelated to the questions I was asking.<br><br>Throughout the conversation I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing him to simply arrange a viewing. Other agencies have been professional and tried to help me, instead I received total disrespect and was shouted at over the phone. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour and 0 respect towards customers. It's no wonder there are so many 1 star reviews saying how rude they are. Avoid.

Alex was easy to arrange the appointment with, and she was friendly, compassionate and professional throughout. She made the whole process feel straightforward and comfortable, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her or the agency.
15th Oct 2026 (18 days ago)This wasn’t just buying and selling a house; it was a full-blown James Bond mission involving sleepless nights, spreadsheets, plot twists and a mortgage lender who seemed determined to be the villain!<br>We spotted our dream home on Rightmove, but our own house wasn’t even on the market. Enter Holly and Neil at Tor Estates, who took on the challenge with incredible patience, professionalism and determination. From advice on preparing our home to changing photos and reassuring me through countless visits to the office, nothing was ever too much trouble.<br>Within weeks, we had a buyer for our home, and our offer on our dream house was accepted. Then our mortgage lender of 27 years pulled the rug from underneath us.<br>Enter Gavin from Tor Finance, our mortgage superhero! He worked tirelessly to find a solution, keeping in touch while I was working away and navigating obstacle after obstacle. His dedication was outstanding, and we genuinely couldn't have done it without him.<br>Holly, Neil and Gavin went above and beyond. They didn't just do their jobs; they supported us through one of the most stressful experiences of our lives and helped turn a potential disaster into a happy ending.<br>If you're buying or selling, I cannot recommend Tor Estates highly enough. If you need a mortgage, speak to Gavin from the very beginning!<br>Thank you all. We will be forever grateful.<br>Tor Estates: 5 stars. 10/10. Would recommend.<br>Me? Emotionally unavailable. Do not put back on the property market without supervision. ??????<br>And if anyone's wondering when we'll move again, it'll be feet first. Even then, Gavin will probably have to sort the mortgage on the coffin!

We met Harry and Tracyann at our property who guided us through evaluation and viewings, they were both exactly what we had hoped for, open and informative. From that point on I mostly spoke with Bridget. She is amazing. Always there to speak to and send messages to, a huge asset to the team. I really can’t thank Bridget enough for all she did for us and the way she worked tirelessly on our behalf. Not only was she so friendly she also made me feel genuinely supported throughout the sale of our property. She was happy to relay back and forth to multiple parts of our chain. Worth her weight in gold!

Hailey was brilliant, she was so lovely showing us around and answering all our questions. She was very knowledgeable about the houses she showed to us and we truly appreciated her support. I would 100% recommend,
15th Oct 2026 (18 days ago)Despite having our lovely mid-Devon country property on the market at a difficult time, in terms of over-supply and wide ranging financial concerns, Tom Folland, a Director at Strutt and Parker, has done a brilliant job for us dealing with a difficult and protracted sale, including a sometimes unstable chain. It has been so good to have an agent who has communicated with us all the way through the process, keeping us in the loop with everything we needed to know about. Tom has stayed calm and professional even when the process was driving us a little crazy because it felt so precarious and uncertain. Tom has been patient, kind and considerate, and we couldn’t recommend Strutt and Parker more highly for achieving a good sale - a terrific result especially in such a slow and uncertain market.

18th Dec 2023 (2 years ago)Unfortunately English Homes only considered a price reduction as the way to stimulate market interest. We had 3 viewings in 12 weeks. Feedback from the viewings was that they had properties to sell but weren’t put off by the property or the price.

Communication was excellent, he really drove things forward with the sale and he was always available to help.
