10th Nov 2025 (7 mo. ago)Avoid Hills Estate Agency at All Costs!! I have spent the past year being over-promised and massively under-delivered by Hills. The experience has been nothing short of a disaster. There has been a complete failure in communication from start to finish. I was repeatedly given “estimated completion dates” that never materialised, followed by weeks even over a month of no contact whatsoever. Because of their poor advice, I am now over £2,000 out of pocket. The unprofessionalism is staggering. Staff openly discussed the seller’s personal finances, telling me the seller “had no money” and describing them as “an absolute nightmare customer.” Imagine paying Hills thousands of pounds to sell your property, only for them to bad-mouth you to the buyer. Completely unacceptable. Given this behaviour, it’s no surprise there are so many negative reviews online. I submitted a formal complaint and received a response from Charlotte today no empathy, no apology. If this is how a director behaves, it’s clear why the rest of the staff follow suit. If you value your time, your money and your sanity, avoid Hills like the plague!! Useless!!

Nothing is too much trouble; their local knowledge is invaluable and they made the handover very straightforward, taking care of all the legalities and paperwork. Would highly recommend.

Loads of local knowledge, professional advice and felt friendly and honest. From first viewing I felt like I was in good hands, right up until completion when they accommodated a last minute viewing before exchange and went over and above to sort keys. Don’t usually get this level of service as a purchaser. Thanks again!

Olivia came to value the property and gave an honest and realistic potential value. Coral handled the details around sale of my property and couldn’t have been more helpful from start to finish. 20th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Sent out viewing request via right move on Friday for a rental property, filled out there form via email on Saturday (67 questions from) called on Monday and was told to fill out form, re filled form again was told someone will look through the application and get back to me to arrange a viewing,.rang back Tuesday, get told same and says they have received my form and someone will arrange viewing for next week, Wednesday property let already, they even said to me they can't do viewings because they haven't got the keys and they are trying to get access to the property so viewing would be next week, total waste of time and effort, what's the point of saying we will hold viewings next week and make ppl fill out silly forms with 67 questions, and then let agreed and don't update ppl who made a full application. Waste of time and space, if they are like this with just a rental query I don't want to know whats.it like being a tenant, may be it's good that I didn't get to view may be dodged a bullet here. Family run business my backside, total waste of space and lies throughout. Stay clear. Oh they make you fill out housing application form with the pretence that if you like it they can process applications quickly, that's without even getting to see the house yet, so you could fill out long form and make application, but if your lucky to see the house you may not like it but they have all your details already as you made a full application, just to see the house. You give them time and effort and they don't give nothing back, not even a call.or email to say property off the market,. Stay away from them.

My house listing went live on Friday and by Wednesday we had 3 offers. We eventually sold the house for a little above the valuation due to the interest in the property generated by Ashtons.
