If I was selling my property through this agent I'd be very disappointed.

1st Jun 2026 (21 days ago)I instructed Douglas and Dean in early 2025 and was very pleased with the service received regarding the sale of my property. Andy offers years of experience and a pragmatic approach to selling. I felt that we had open and honest conversations and it was always easy to make contact. We also kept in touch at agreed periods to discuss matters of interest e.g. the housing market in general as it went and is still going through challenges in terms of supply outstripping demand. I never felt pressured into making any decisions. Given the competitive market I was delighted to sell. I did like the video provided as it would provide prospective purchasers with a really good feel for the property. Once the sale was agreed I was impressed with the seamless handling of the sale behind the scenes with a joined up team and in particular Nicola who was proactive in chasing solicitors and agents within the chain to keep things on track. I would not hesitate to recommend Douglas and Dean and thanks to the whole team Andy, Nicola, Jake and Tracey (and of course Milo??????)

27th Aug 2025 (9 mo. ago)Female answered the phone, advised I would like to view a house, and gave the address asked me the price and I thought it was a certain price but informed me I was wrong and they did not have a house for sale of that price. As I haven't sold my own house I am not allowed to view house for sale. Sounded cross and didn't ask me any details. I have a house in Cornwall with sea views and don't require a mortgage. This estate agency does not appear to want to sell houses

However, the team kept us informed of progress and were actively chasing news from the chain which made things a little more tolerable for us. We were very pleased and would definitely consider using Julian Marks in any future sale.

From start to finish, Adam was incredibly hands-on, always available to answer our questions, and kept us informed throughout the entire process. His responsiveness and expert advice on what to do at each stage made a huge difference and helped everything run smoothly. Adam’s attention to detail was exceptional, particularly when photographing our home and selecting the images for the marketing. He took great care to showcase the property at its very best, and the quality of the presentation really stood out. His professionalism, knowledge, and dedication made the whole experience stress-free, and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking to sell their home.
