29th May 2026 (16 days ago)Horrendous customer service and complete lack of accountability If I could give zero stars, I would. We enquired about a highly sought-after 5-bedroom letting and were told there was only one specific day available for viewings. We completely rearranged our schedules and drove nearly an hour (a 2-hour round trip) to attend. Upon arrival, the agent was nowhere to be found. When we called, it turned out the agent had booked us into a completely different 3-bedroom property at a totally different location. Because of their internal administrative blunder, we missed out on the correct property entirely, as it went under offer to people who were actually given the correct address. When we raised this with the branch manager, Christina, instead of apologizing professionally and offering a solution, she actively tried to shift the blame onto us. She argued that because their automated confirmation email contained the wrong address, it was our job to proofread their agent's data entry before traveling. She then bizarrely claimed that because the property was high demand, it didn’t matter that we were sent to the wrong house because we "might not have got it anyway." An absolute masterclass in gaslighting and shocking customer service. They refuse to take responsibility for their own staff's human errors. If you are a landlord, be aware that this agency is actively losing you good, proceedable tenants through pure incompetence and then alienating them afterwards. Avoid at all costs.

The viewing process was straightforward, and they made the references and paperwork feel seamless and stress-free.Since moving in, their communication has been excellent. Whenever a maintenance issue arose, they handled it promptly and kept me updated throughout the process. It is rare to find an agency that genuinely cares about its tenants, but Bycroft's truly stands out. Special thanks to Louise Dyer, for going above and beyond. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a smooth, hassle-free renting experience.

28th Jan 2026 (20 weeks ago)Not impressed with overall experience/service. They advertised my property for 10 weeks and there has been no contact from them, I did all the chasing. The photographs were amateur, nothing special at all. The description of the property was unimpressive and unenthusiastic. They failed to include facts and had to be prompted to include them. I finally received one viewing from them 9 weeks into contract, not sure how genuine that was. I don’t think they promoted my property to any potential buyer, so have since changed Agents and extremely happy with the professional description and photos. I have high hopes with this new Agent.
8th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Worse experience with them, was looking to rent a house through them.. they wanted a holding deposit to check my credit scores, if I fail the credit score then I don’t get my money back.. surely that’s not right? Anyway, spoke to their manager and she agreed on doing the credit check without a holding deposit of £250, baring in kind that’s a lot of money, I’m glad my credit check failed otherwise I wouldn’t of got that money back. Ever, please be aware of this scam, they just want £250 and will deliberately fail a credit check or say you can’t afford the rent so they keep the money for themselves. my conversation with Ellie from Belvoir Bourges Boulevard I have checked the law too.. it’s against the law to take a non refundable deposit to do a credit check.
