Lucy, Darren and Paula were absolutely wonderful from start to finish.<br>Not only were they extremely professional and effective, but they were also approachable, patient and genuinely kind. We really appreciated the clear communication, attention and support throughout the process. Their friendly manner made such a difference and helped make everything feel much easier.<br>Thank you so much to Lucy, Darren and Paula for all your hard work and care. 30th Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)Our experience of buying our new home through Abbotts was extremely disappointing.<br><br>Communication throughout the process was very poor. It was often impossible to get through by telephone, leaving us listening to music for long periods, and when we did have the option to leave a message, our calls were not returned. Emails were also regularly left unanswered, which made the whole process far more stressful than it needed to be.<br><br>On our second viewing, we were expecting to meet someone at the property, but nobody turned up. We were left waiting and had no communication or explanation as to why nobody was there.<br><br>We even had to contact the Norwich branch ourselves and ask them to get in touch with the relevant office to arrange this.<br><br>Buying a home should be an exciting and memorable experience, but unfortunately our experience with Abbotts was made unnecessarily stressful by the lack of communication and organisation.<br><br>We are very happy with our new home, but sadly we cannot say the same about our experience with Abbotts. Based on our experience, we would not use them again or recommend them.
19th Oct 2026 (14 days ago)A huge thank you to the team at William H Brown Yaxley, and particularly Paul, for the excellent service throughout the sale of my property.<br><br>From our very first conversation, Paul took the time to understand what was important to me and tailored his approach accordingly, rather than simply offering a standard service. Managing the sale from overseas added some complexity, but Paul made it incredibly straightforward, regularly keeping me updated, providing useful market feedback and often responding well outside normal working hours to accommodate the significant time difference.<br><br>What stood out most was how proactive and personally involved he was throughout. He didn’t simply pass things on to others; he took ownership, chased actions across all parties and helped drive the sale through to completion.<br><br>I’m extremely appreciative of the service I received and would have no hesitation recommending the William H Brown Yaxley team, and Paul in particular, to anyone looking to sell a property in the area.

They promptly came out to provide us with an honest professional valuation of our house and were quick to actively put it on the Market. Within 6 weeks we were sold! Liam was incredibly proactive throughout our entire move. He constantly chased things up to keep momentum going and kept us updated every step of the way. It was such a relief having someone who genuinely stayed ahead of the game and offered help before we even realised we needed it. At a time that can be very stressful Liam was on hand to reassure us and make the process go through more smoothly. Outstanding service, would highly recommend, Thank you Liam for helping us achieve our dream forever home
16th Oct 2026 (17 days ago)I have given you this review do to the state of the property that your renting out to my young grandson , here a a couple of photos of the work that’s needed , I do know what’s what as I have volunteered for the Cambridge city council for over 12 years + inspecting flats and houses and making sure that there homes are up to a decent standard , there is a policy that the council abide by , a decent homes policy which you don’t seam to have, I will await your response , a person should feel safe in there property , warm and Secure , which I Hasson to point out that if some one put a mind to braking in to his property, on kick of the front door or back would do .

The team were incredibly friendly, helpful and always quick to respond whenever we had any questions or needed anything. They were always on the ball, proactive and kept us updated throughout the whole process.<br><br>Compared to other estate agents we dealt with, they were miles ahead in terms of communication, professionalism and overall service. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and they genuinely went above and beyond.<br><br>Couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Thank you for making the whole experience so easy.
15th Aug 2026 (11 weeks ago)We chose Oakheart as we liked our negotiator Freddie .<br>Unfortunately he moved branches .<br>Un experienced agents doing the viewings .<br>Boards going up , boards going down !<br>Saw out our contract. Ask for property to be removed from Rightmove , this took 4 days with a reminder .<br>Two weeks later and being off market the board is still up .<br>Lots of apologies from the office ! For several reasons .<br>Best thing about Oakheart is their branding !

A special mention goes to Tom Lampard for his excellent service and professionalism.<br>The team demonstrates outstanding management skills and is reliable, efficient, and excellent at communicating. I’m extremely pleased with the service they provide and would happily rent another apartment through them in the future.<br>I highly recommend Shires Letting Company to anyone looking for a reliable and professional letting agency.

2nd Aug 2026 (13 weeks ago)I don't usually leave reviews, but having worked in estate agency myself and bought and sold several properties over the years, I feel I'm in a position to provide an informed and balanced perspective.<br><br>I chose Sharman Quinney on a fee of around 1% plus VAT, and unfortunately the level of service I received didn't justify that cost.<br><br>From the outset there were communication issues. I repeatedly tried calling the branch but couldn't get through. When I visited the office, I mentioned this and was told the phones were working. I then called the branch while standing there and none of the phones rang, clearly showing there was a problem. I was told it would be looked into, but I never received any follow-up.<br><br>When valuing my property, I was told there was already a list of potential applicants who may be interested. However, as far as I could tell, those applicants were never contacted. Instead, the marketing appeared to rely almost entirely on Rightmove and Zoopla rather than proactive matching from an applicant database.<br><br>Communication throughout the sale was disappointing. It was often difficult to get calls returned despite leaving voicemails and emails. Viewing feedback was another frustration. Rather than being contacted promptly after viewings, I regularly had to chase for feedback myself, sometimes waiting several days without hearing anything.<br><br>I was also disappointed with the handling of negotiations. We accepted an offer, only to discover around two weeks later that the buyers were still actively viewing other properties. The negotiator was aware of this but didn't make us aware before we accepted the offer. Had we known, it would have influenced our decision-making.<br><br>The communication with buyers also appeared lacking. When the buyers requested a second viewing, we declined because we no longer wished to proceed with them. Despite this, the buyers still arrived at our property at the agreed time, suggesting our decision had not been passed on.<br><br>Once the property was on the market, there was very little proactive contact from the branch unless I initiated it. As a client, I expected more regular updates, even if there had been nothing significant to report.<br><br>My final concern relates to security. After taking the property off the market, we collected our keys from the branch. We were not asked for any identification, proof of address, or even our names before being handed the keys. Given that these keys provide access to someone's home, I found this extremely concerning and below the standard I would expect from any estate agency.<br><br>I appreciate that buying and selling property is a complex process and that not every sale runs smoothly. However, my concerns relate primarily to communication, proactivity and basic procedures rather than the outcome itself. Based on my experience, I wouldn't use this branch again and hope this feedback is taken constructively to improve the service for future clients.
