The team at Naomi J Ryan are professional, friendly and very good at keeping on top of things. We normally work with them in managing our rental portfolio but have recently sold a couple of properties with them and the experience has been equally impressive. Highly recommended.
23rd May 2026 (26 days ago)I needed 3 valuations for probate. From the moment Andy came along to carry out the valuation, we knew that this was the estate agents we would engage for the house sale. The advice given to market the house was invaluable. Once Samuel's was engaged, the team at Samuel's sprung into action. We had so many viewings and offers over the first few days and settled on a perfect buyer who has now moved into the property. For the whole journey, we were kept informed, via email and regular telephone calls. So many in fact, my 5 year old grandson asked "was that your friend Karen calling Granny"! Indeed, it really felt that the whole team became friends. We had fun and banter along the way. But the end product was so professional and successful. Samuel's was the highest valuation and the house sold within 2 weeks. I asked for a recommendation for a solicitor as did the buyer. The sale went through so smoothly and took just 7 weeks. I will definitely use Samuel's again and have been just amazed at the level of service. Just thank you to the whole team. I could not be happier with the service provided.

21st Apr 2026 (8 weeks ago)We have successfully sold our house through Connells and are very pleased with the support given particularly by Jenny and David. From the outset we had a great deal of confidence in Jenny with her wealth of experience. She gave us excellent advice and was always available to explain the situation and ways forward. Jenny came out to the care home when it was needed which was much appreciated. She was always thoughtful, supportive and kind. David also worked very hard to ensure the sale went through as soon as possible and kept us updated right through until completion. We are grateful to Connells for achieving a great result for us. Top marks ??????
4th Jun 2026 (14 days ago)I rang to express interest in a property - the person who answered wasn't especially interested in taking my details, finding anything about me or my position in terms of cash buyer/ mortgage etc or what I'm looking for. If I was selling my property through this agent I'd be very disappointed.

They were professional, effective, reliable, clear, straight forward and efficient in everything they did but they were also friendly, thoughtful, responsive and really easy to work with. They were great at listening and understanding our situation as it evolved and changed and always ready to help with answers and suggestions when needed. Moving home can be a roller coaster of ups and downs but working with Chris and Emma and knowing we could rely on them to helpful and straight forward was a massive help and I am happy to be able to thoroughly recommend their services.

For the personal touch, peace of mind and confidence I would highly recommend Nik Davey at Martin & co to look after your letting properties. 13th May 2022 (4 years ago)I first met Brett a couple of years ago when looking into the student market. I didn't do anything at that time. It was a pleasure to meet Brett again in July 2021 when viewing another property, and subsequently other properties. Brett is generous with his time, doesn't rush you, and tells you the facts as he sees them. I feel he gives his views and advice in a very straightforward manner which is what you want as a buyer or a seller. I would have no hesitation in recommending Brett for his professionalism, friendliness and someone to go to for advice. I have now met the Lettings side of Star and found them extremely helpful as well.
22nd Mar 2023 (3 years ago)I had a very, very disappointing experience with Star Lettings back in the summer of 2021 – I'd been served with a section 21”no fault eviction” due to an issue with mold in the bathroom floor (which it transpired was caused by a “long term leak under the bath”) I still owe money to southwest water because of this. I'd reported the issue with the moldy bathroom floor to Star Lettings some two years previously. This notice to vacate was on hold throughout lock down due to Government legislation but didn't do much for my peace of mind. In my experience it seemed that the landlord always came first and I lost half my deposit even when I'd cleaned the house as requested though it was difficult given the underlying mold issue that should have been addressed when I raised two years previously. I was also told that the flat would be completely renovated as the landlord planned to turn the place into an AirB&B (which I believe has happened) so I left the place completely empty with a clean up as best as I could (thinking I wouldn't overly invest too much time in it, given the renovation would be going ahead anyway) After moving I contacted Star Lettings about my deposit but Star Lettings tried to withhold my entire deposit, in the end I managed to get back half of this, but not without a struggle. I needed the money as it certainly wasn't easy finding a new flat immediately post lock down

The team kept us updated regularly and did a great job keeping everything moving and maintaining momentum, which made a big difference during the process. They were also very fair, supportive and enthusiastic about our onward purchase. We dealt with Tia quite a bit and she was great. She strikes a great balance between being friendly, approachable and professional, and always dealt with things quickly and efficiently. Communication was clear throughout and she was always happy to help or chase things when needed. We’d happily recommend both her and the team to others. Thank you.

Communications were always quick and he definitely helped with chasing up the often tediously slow solicitor the owner had instructed. His after sale service has also been brilliant helping me find services and tradesmen I needed as I live in Spain this has been great.
