15th Jul 2026 (18 days ago)Samuels are by far the best estate agents in Exeter!!! Whilst we have not used them to sell a house, as buyers we have been so impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail throughout the sale. They have gone above and beyond, liasing with all parties including solicitors, and other estate agents, particularly when these have not been part of their chain directly. Communication and handover to ther staff members when on annual leave is excellent so there is continuity in progress of the house sale.<br>They will do whatever they can to support you, even this is simply recommending surveyors and conveyancers in the area.<br>I would very strongly advise anyone to consider Samuels to market their property. They are so enthusiastic and proactive with buyers when showing around and then following up afterwards, and keeping buyers updated on offers made. And they will also come back to buyers if the property is not sold to establish if there is any ongoing interest. This is what eventually enabled to secure the property that we wanted to buy. They are also happy to accommodate additional viewings of a property, and on a Saturday if needed too.<br>If you are a buyer, keep an eye on Samuels Facebook page for the latest properties. They are a fantastic estate agent to work with if buying with them.<br>Special shout out to Karen, Sophie and Hillary - such lovely ladies that go above and beyond ??

31st Jul 2026 (2 days ago)Terrible company who try to take as much money off you as possible! Recently moved out and have had nothing but problems with receiving my deposit back although I’ve been living in damp and mould for years. They only decided to do something about it around my due date because my family were furious I was about to bring a newborn into a black mould infested flat, My unborn baby’s furniture at the time had black mould all over and had to be thrown away which were also gifts from family. Glad to be in a much nicer property with people who really care.
28th Jul 2026 (5 days ago)Wouldn’t recommend Fulfords Cowick Street. JF not upto the job told lies, half truths when looking for help & support when losing a love one. Recommended going to Auction, did very little to support, yet they got £6500 for doing very little & other member of staff were not upfront about cost. Sorry from my experience would recommend Fulfords Cowick Street Exeter ????????????
1st Jul 2026 (5 weeks ago)Nick Jane and Emma Dark managed our sale. Savills’ fee was very competitive. Nick and Jane and their team were excellent, communicating at all points, constantly on top of events, making sure that all parties in our chain of 5 (!) properties worked at speed and together. We’ve moved a number of times, but this is the best experience we have had with estate agents. I have no hesitation in recommending the Savills Exeter team.

17th Jul 2026 (16 days ago)When I assumed responsibility for the sale of my late mother's bungalow in Alphington I approached a few estate agents and Chris Parkes made the best impression, representing a firm with a long-standing connection to the area, rather than being part of a national chain with, possibly, their 'corporate approach'.<br>His assessment of the likely value and saleability of the property seemed soundly based - he used similar comparator properties to do this together with his assessment of the property situation and local environment. He also explained at what point in the process of dealing with my late mother's estate it would make sense to market the property.<br>It soon became apparent that the market at that time for the type of property I was selling was 'slow' and Chris was happy to discuss my options for trying to achieve a sale, without pushing me to do anything I wasn't comfortable with. In the event it took 6 months to achieve the sale but at no time did I feel pressured to significantly drop the price to get a sale to allow the estate agent to pocket the commission and move on.<br>I found Chris and his colleagues at the Fraser & Wheeler Cowick Street office to be friendly, professional helpful and efficient. The fact that I live 200+ miles from Exeter was never a problem as Chris and his colleagues were always available by phone or email exchange. They handled all of the viewings on my behalf - always contacting me in advance to check that a viewing could go ahead, which allowed me to inform neighbours keeping an eye on the property. I always received feedback following each viewing and it was apparent that Chris would maintain contact with any potential buyer who seemed interested.<br>When the sale was agreed, Fraser & Wheeler liaised with the buyers on my behalf throughout the process leading to successful completion. I was kept informed throughout.<br>I am happy to recommend Fraser & Wheeler based on the service I received as there is no aspect of this that I could fault.

13th May 2022 (4 years ago)I first met Brett a couple of years ago when looking into the student market. I didn't do anything at that time. It was a pleasure to meet Brett again in July 2021 when viewing another property, and subsequently other properties. Brett is generous with his time, doesn't rush you, and tells you the facts as he sees them. I feel he gives his views and advice in a very straightforward manner which is what you want as a buyer or a seller. I would have no hesitation in recommending Brett for his professionalism, friendliness and someone to go to for advice. I have now met the Lettings side of Star and found them extremely helpful as well.
22nd Mar 2023 (3 years ago)I had a very, very disappointing experience with Star Lettings back in the summer of 2021 – I'd been served with a section 21”no fault eviction” due to an issue with mold in the bathroom floor (which it transpired was caused by a “long term leak under the bath”) I still owe money to southwest water because of this. I'd reported the issue with the moldy bathroom floor to Star Lettings some two years previously. This notice to vacate was on hold throughout lock down due to Government legislation but didn't do much for my peace of mind. In my experience it seemed that the landlord always came first and I lost half my deposit even when I'd cleaned the house as requested though it was difficult given the underlying mold issue that should have been addressed when I raised two years previously. I was also told that the flat would be completely renovated as the landlord planned to turn the place into an AirB&B (which I believe has happened) so I left the place completely empty with a clean up as best as I could (thinking I wouldn't overly invest too much time in it, given the renovation would be going ahead anyway) After moving I contacted Star Lettings about my deposit but Star Lettings tried to withhold my entire deposit, in the end I managed to get back half of this, but not without a struggle. I needed the money as it certainly wasn't easy finding a new flat immediately post lock down

He was fantastic at communicating with everyone and the vendor offering honest and transparent advice.<br><br>They say an estate agent's real work starts after the sale is agreed to keep all parties posted, and Philip did this brilliantly. We always knew exactly where we stood despite the complexities, highly recommend.
