I’m asking people to be take care of any details while dealing with this agency!<br><br>They don’t support you with maintenance and once you finish the contract make sure to call them because they don’t give any support or leads to take an advantage on the tenant and let him extend some days with fees!<br><br>I finished my fixed contract with them and 2 days before I depart from Exeter I called to see what shall I do and they told me no you have to extend one more month! I told them no one emailed me and helped me regarding this and they were like you must pay!<br><br>We gave back the apartment clean and tidy and left the keys inside the same day they were having viewing for another tenant and we left the keys inside with them and they left it and emailed us 7 days later that we must pay 310£ one week rent because we didn’t give the keys to the office!<br><br>Also the cleaning fee even though the apartment is super clean they charged us big amounts im sure 80% of it is considered profit as well as their poor performance in maintenance and helping tenants to live in a comfortable place.<br><br>If you are forced to deal with them just focus on your rights and the contract especially.
15th Jul 2026 (26 days ago)Samuels are by far the best estate agents in Exeter!!! Whilst we have not used them to sell a house, as buyers we have been so impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail throughout the sale. They have gone above and beyond, liasing with all parties including solicitors, and other estate agents, particularly when these have not been part of their chain directly. Communication and handover to ther staff members when on annual leave is excellent so there is continuity in progress of the house sale.<br>They will do whatever they can to support you, even this is simply recommending surveyors and conveyancers in the area.<br>I would very strongly advise anyone to consider Samuels to market their property. They are so enthusiastic and proactive with buyers when showing around and then following up afterwards, and keeping buyers updated on offers made. And they will also come back to buyers if the property is not sold to establish if there is any ongoing interest. This is what eventually enabled to secure the property that we wanted to buy. They are also happy to accommodate additional viewings of a property, and on a Saturday if needed too.<br>If you are a buyer, keep an eye on Samuels Facebook page for the latest properties. They are a fantastic estate agent to work with if buying with them.<br>Special shout out to Karen, Sophie and Hillary - such lovely ladies that go above and beyond ??

31st Jul 2026 (10 days ago)Terrible company who try to take as much money off you as possible! Recently moved out and have had nothing but problems with receiving my deposit back although I’ve been living in damp and mould for years. They only decided to do something about it around my due date because my family were furious I was about to bring a newborn into a black mould infested flat, My unborn baby’s furniture at the time had black mould all over and had to be thrown away which were also gifts from family. Glad to be in a much nicer property with people who really care.
29th Jul 2026 (12 days ago)After a very disappointing experience trying to sell our house through a well known rival estate agent, we changed agents to Strutt and Parker, Exeter.<br>Tom was excellent. He took on board our views, was supportive , proactive, and very good at keeping us updated . Within a couple of months we had accepted an offer. Unfortunately, this sale fell through, but approximately 6 months later, in a challenging market, we had accepted another offer and subsequently completed the sale of our property. Throughout the process, Tom and his support staff maintained excellent communication between all parties. We would highly recommend Tom and his team.

I’m planning to advise my daughter to use Fraser Wheeler to speed the sale of her two bedroom flat in Alphington in the very near future. 13th May 2022 (4 years ago)I first met Brett a couple of years ago when looking into the student market. I didn't do anything at that time. It was a pleasure to meet Brett again in July 2021 when viewing another property, and subsequently other properties. Brett is generous with his time, doesn't rush you, and tells you the facts as he sees them. I feel he gives his views and advice in a very straightforward manner which is what you want as a buyer or a seller. I would have no hesitation in recommending Brett for his professionalism, friendliness and someone to go to for advice. I have now met the Lettings side of Star and found them extremely helpful as well.
22nd Mar 2023 (3 years ago)I had a very, very disappointing experience with Star Lettings back in the summer of 2021 – I'd been served with a section 21”no fault eviction” due to an issue with mold in the bathroom floor (which it transpired was caused by a “long term leak under the bath”) I still owe money to southwest water because of this. I'd reported the issue with the moldy bathroom floor to Star Lettings some two years previously. This notice to vacate was on hold throughout lock down due to Government legislation but didn't do much for my peace of mind. In my experience it seemed that the landlord always came first and I lost half my deposit even when I'd cleaned the house as requested though it was difficult given the underlying mold issue that should have been addressed when I raised two years previously. I was also told that the flat would be completely renovated as the landlord planned to turn the place into an AirB&B (which I believe has happened) so I left the place completely empty with a clean up as best as I could (thinking I wouldn't overly invest too much time in it, given the renovation would be going ahead anyway) After moving I contacted Star Lettings about my deposit but Star Lettings tried to withhold my entire deposit, in the end I managed to get back half of this, but not without a struggle. I needed the money as it certainly wasn't easy finding a new flat immediately post lock down

7th Aug 2026 (3 days ago)?????<br>Having initially started my house-selling journey with another estate agent in late 2024, I accepted an offer on my property in early 2025. Around that time, I viewed a property being marketed by Right at Home and made an immediate offer. Unfortunately, that purchase wasn't meant to be, as I later lost my buyer and the chain fell apart.<br><br>Despite that, I was incredibly impressed by the service I received from Right at Home. The attention to detail, professionalism, and friendly approach of the team left a lasting impression and ultimately led me to instruct them to sell my own property.<br><br>From the outset, the marketing was excellent. The professional photographs were fantastic, and the listing showcased my home brilliantly across Rightmove, social media, and other marketing channels. They generated strong interest and arranged numerous viewings.<br>One aspect that really stood out was their communication. After every viewing, they contacted me to discuss the conversations they had with potential buyers and provide their initial thoughts. They were also meticulous in following up for detailed feedback, which kept me fully informed throughout the process. Their efforts resulted in multiple offers, and they did a fantastic job negotiating on my behalf to achieve the best possible outcome before we accepted an offer.<br><br>The support didn't stop there. Throughout the sales progression process, they worked tirelessly to keep the chain moving and regularly chased all parties involved. I particularly appreciated their honest and straightforward approach. When it came to agreeing exchange and completion dates, they weren't afraid to have frank conversations to ensure expectations were clear and everyone remained on the same page.<br><br>Interestingly, I also ended up purchasing a property through Right at Home. The viewing process was excellent, and the team were knowledgeable when discussing the property's value and providing comparisons with similar homes. This gave me confidence that I was making the right decision.<br><br>If I had one area for improvement, it would be communication around completion timescales earlier on. I had initially indicated that a completion date of late July or early August would be ideal, and it wasn't until later in the process that it became apparent completion would need to take place on 24 July. I did feel a little rushed by this, although I appreciate that coordinating multiple parties within a chain is never straightforward and often requires compromise.<br><br>Overall, every member of the team I dealt with was helpful, friendly, approachable, and genuinely invested in making the process as smooth as possible. We completed on 24 July as planned, collected the keys to our new home, and were even greeted with a lovely welcome box, which was a thoughtful touch.<br>I would have no hesitation in recommending Right at Home to anyone looking to buy or sell a property. In fact, I have already recommended them to friends, one of whom has since instructed them to sell their home. If I ever move again in the future, Right at Home would be my first choice.<br><br>Thank you to everyone involved for helping make what can be a stressful process feel much easier.
