Julie was incredible throughout, helping with all the problems that popped up, and frankly getting the thing over the line. If it wasn't for Julie, I am sure the whole thing would have collapsed. 10/10

I’m a first time solo buyer, so the house buying process was definitely intimidating to me!<br><br>They were so communicative, and genuinely cared about the seller and I’s needs and wants with the property sale. I felt accommodated for, supported and informed throughout the entire process. From Ben showing me around, to Karen keeping me in the know throughout, the team have smashed it!<br><br>You can tell DW Smith is a family run, caring estate agent just based on how many signs I see around the neighbourhood! 31st Jul 2026 (13 days ago)I will be recommending Maisie and Mollie to everyone I possibly can. After a very difficult process of moving where we had had some bad experiences with other landlords and agents/agencies, Maisie and Mollie gave us faith in humanity again ?????? They both went above and beyond to do *literally* everything they possibly could to get us into our new place and all set up, and showed us such kindness and compassion throughout (despite all my very annoying questions and anxieties, all of which they answered and addressed with understanding and empathy!!!)<br>The both of them made what had been one of the most stressful and difficult periods of our lives into one with hope at the end of the tunnel, and we are so grateful to have made it to the other end of that tunnel because of them! Thank you!!!
29th Jul 2026 (15 days ago)Bradley Bates, Connells Yate Branch manager handled the valuation of our property, something that was difficult to accurately do due to the changes in the world at the time. After some careful consideration a marketing strategy was agreed and to our delight the house was under formal offer within 12 hours of going on the market.<br>Bradley's bubbly, attentive personality made interaction with him very easy and making himself available along the process was a bonus.<br>Moving house is a minefield, its clear to see that the Yate team are motivated by Bradley's presence and is a natural leader in the Branch.<br>In a world where Estate Agents get a bad reputation the Yate team worked hard to be transparent and honest.<br>For this we are very grateful.<br>If i am looking for areas of growth for Connells Estate Agents, it would be to review the Solicitors you chose to work with, your recommendation was a bad reflection on your business model, it cannot be worth your effort to do their job and chase their errors all the time?Connells - Filton

10th Aug 2026 (3 days ago)We recently sold our property through Boardwalk Estate Agents, and despite what turned out to be a very challenging and stressful sale, the team worked incredibly hard to get us over the finish line.<br><br>A special mention has to go to Chris Palmer, the Sales Progressor, who was absolutely outstanding throughout the process. The sale was far from straightforward (despite there being no chain) and involved dealing with an extremely difficult solicitor on the buyer's side, which caused numerous delays and frustrations. Through all of this, Chris remained proactive, calm, reassuring and professional.<br><br>What really stood out was his communication. He was always incredibly quick to respond to messages and calls, kept us updated at every stage, and worked tirelessly to keep the sale moving forward when it felt like things might stall again. We were particularly grateful that, due to the urgency of the situation, Chris even took the time to deal with matters during his annual leave.<br><br>This transaction certainly tested everyone's patience and sanity! However, Chris's persistence, dedication and support made a huge difference, and I genuinely don't think the sale would have reached completion without his efforts.<br><br>I'd also like to mention Rhia Lloyd, who was a real pleasure to work with from the outset. She did a great job with the valuation and marketing of the property, and her advice and support helped get things off to a strong start. Although Chris was our main point of contact during the sale progression, Rhia was always happy to help when needed and stepped back in towards the end when things were becoming particularly challenging. We really appreciated her support and the part she played in helping us get the sale over the line.<br><br>Thank you to Chris and Rhia for all your hard work. We are now happily settling into our new life in Brighton, and we're very grateful for everything you did to help make that happen.

Different team members working on my sale who appeared to have different agendas and work against each other. Indifference to me as the vendor. Will not use again, termination of contract without house sale due to terrible service
25th May 2026 (11 weeks ago)I would like to express my disappointment with the situation regarding the cancellation of our reference by your agency. After Nicola decided to cancel our reference, I was informed that I wouldn't be eligible for a refund of my deposit. The most frustrating part is that she's now disputing this, claiming that we failed the referencing process, despite initially stating that she was cancelling the reference herself. When I pointed out that if she believed we failed referencing, she should refund my money, she became rude and refused, stating she would never give me my money back.

We had some tricky solicitors to deal with, but they helped us navigate the whole thing, kept us constantly in the loop, and did a lot of the chasing on our behalf to get the purchase over the line.<br><br>Highly recommend.

Michael visited our home at the start of the process and talked us through steps to be followed and throughout empowered us to be proactive and motivated to sell. We ended up selling in a month and Michael was in constant communication via WhatsApp, phone and email, assisting with chasing solicitors later in the process. A local guy who genuinely wants to provide a top tier service.

The whole process of obtaining the flat, from the initial house viewing to getting the keys, was very efficient and hassle-free. I have no doubt that dealings with Debra in the future will be smooth and easy.<br><br>We didn't have much flexibility with our move-in date though (we wanted to move in halfway through August but were rushed into starting to pay rent in mid July, when we couldn't leave our previous address yet, so we ended up paying for two properties at the same time.<br><br>It seems that the estate agents are very restricted to what the landlord wants, prioritising him over us. For example, I was reassured and given false hope that the whole flat would be repainted, only to be told later that the landlord had changed his mind and would only do the bathroom, which desperately needed it.... I am worried that reporting any issues will be a nightmare, and issues will only be sorted once an issue has become very bad. However I am writing this very early on into my tenancy so we shall see how it pans out (smoothly, I hope.)
