19th Jun 2026 (9 days ago)Absolutely shocking experience with CJ Hole Downend.<br><br>I viewed a property, completed all the requested checks with the person on the phone, and promptly sent over proof of funds a few days later and everything else they asked for. After that, I heard absolutely nothing back.<br><br>I emailed four times and called twice trying to get an update. Not a single response to any of my emails, and no meaningful communication whatsoever. Then, without any notification or courtesy update, I noticed the property had been marked as Sold STC.<br><br>If the property had gone to another buyer, that's fair enough, but completely ignoring a serious applicant who has taken the time to provide all the required documents is incredibly unprofessional. Basic communication and customer service seem to be lacking.<br><br>A complete waste of time and a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend CJ Hole Downend based on how I was treated.

The staff have been so friendly, and the whole process of securing the property was super efficient. Laura was great at communicating every step of the process. I couldn't fault this professional team. D W Smith & Co come highly recommend

He is incredibly trustworthy, professional and reliable. Emily was fantastic for staying on top of everything and followed through with the deal diligently until the very end to ensure a successful completion. They truly make a fantastic team and made our dream home come true. Highly recommended!

Throughout the whole process he kept me posted and explained everything I needed to know. He went above and beyond as I'm sure a lot of the times he was calling me were way past his home time. Leigh detailed the entire process, including market trends, helping us understand the best time to buy. For example, they accurately predicted a price drop in our preferred neighborhood, allowing us to make a timely purchase.

His professionalism really stood out, and we always appreciated his clear communication (not to mention his brilliant baritone voice on the phone!). Highly recommend!
25th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)I would like to express my disappointment with the situation regarding the cancellation of our reference by your agency. After Nicola decided to cancel our reference, I was informed that I wouldn't be eligible for a refund of my deposit. The most frustrating part is that she's now disputing this, claiming that we failed the referencing process, despite initially stating that she was cancelling the reference herself. When I pointed out that if she believed we failed referencing, she should refund my money, she became rude and refused, stating she would never give me my money back.

5th Jun 2026 (23 days ago)If I could sum up Hobbs Property Agents in a sentence, it would be 'Michael Hobbs literally turned the 'Impossible' into the 'Possible'. After a disastrous experience with previous estate agents and having buyers pulling, out leaving me in a very stressful and traumatic situation, I came very near giving up and taking my property off the market. Following a discussion with Michael, he convinced me to not give up hope and assured me with the most confidence that he could rescue this 'disaster' and sell my property. I always had every confidence in his professionalism and care, and was swiftly proven right as within a few weeks he found a buyer and then within the next few months it was sold and completed! He literally turned the impossible disaster into a huge success. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him - he would always answer any calls within the hour if he was unavailable at the time. He always kept me updated with any progress and personally looked after every aspect of the sale from start to finish. If anyone is thinking of selling their property i would highly recommend Michael at Hobbs Property Agents, you won't be disappointed :)
