23rd Nov 2024 (1 year ago)Verity Frearson are the largest estate agent in Harrogate, and in my opinion are handling too many properties simultaneously. As a result they aren't able to give each property the desired attention and exposure. They are also so busy they are very rarely available to take your call and often don't get back to you.

10th Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)If I could give 0 stars I would. Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish.<br><br>The agency seemed to have a poor understanding of the local market, communication was consistently lacking, and the sale ultimately took over 10 months to complete.<br><br>From the beginning, I felt the property was poorly marketed. There also appeared to be a lack of transparency with prospective buyers regarding the fact that the property was realistically suited to cash buyers, which caused unnecessary delays and complications.<br><br>Communication was one of the biggest issues. There were numerous occasions when I tried calling and simply could not get through, and at times I found the attitude I received dismissive rather than helpful.<br><br>At one stage, I even found myself having to advise the agent on how the negotiations should be handled because there seemed to be very little urgency or effort being put into progressing the sale. Eventually, after having phone calls and emails not responded to, I contacted the manager that took over the case, which did improve things somewhat, but the overall service was still far below what I would expect from an estate agency handling the sale of a property. How can it take over a week and me practically begging to get a response to hear from an agency?<br><br>After more than 10 months, I came away extremely disappointed with the experience. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this agency to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, proactive and attentive agent who will actively work to sell their property, communicate consistently and make them feel that the sale is in capable hands. You should seriously improve the level of service.- 2nd Sep 2026 (12 days ago)I am renting my property out through Manners and Harrison, after looking at the all of the mainstream firms and going into branches they were the most supportive and engaging at the first point of contact. I dealt with Katie in the Stockton branch she answered all of my questions gave me lots of useful information without being pushy or feeling like it was a hard sell,I was gathering the details needed to make my choice and after sitting down with Katie and others it was obvious which company to go with.<br><br>Katie backed up by Lee did not disappoint they supported me in person on the phone and by email, walked me through the process and waited patiently whilst I was sorting solicitors and other issues.<br><br>When it came advertising and viewing it was completed within a week and offers were on the table, I used the full management service so they took care of all of the legalities and tenants were in place within 2 weeks from advertising.<br><br>I look forward to a good working relationship with Katie and the team

This review is in relation to Dan, the valuation manager at the Scarborough branch who was very personable, yet professional when he came to value my house.<br>He discussed everything I wished to know with interest and integrity. His expertise in property was clearly evident yet he totally accepted my thoughts too and we came together with a realistic, fair valuation.<br>Dan took much time and consideration to obtain great photos and Giraffe 360 imagery and worked over his allotted timings. He completed the task to allow for the best possible outcome, a quick, efficient sale of my property.<br>I would highly recommend Reeds Rains, Dan and all the staff and I look forward to working with them again in the future should the situation arise.- 31st Aug 2026 (14 days ago)The Sales Team (Stephanie, Bethany and Imogen) have been extremely helpful and efficient in facilitating the recent sale of my flat. I was so grateful to Sam who helped me to sell my late Dad’s property. He was always one step ahead keeping everything moving along, constantly liaising with solicitors and my buyers. He was always so calm, friendly and extremely efficient. Selling any property can be very stressful but Your Move manage to make the process as seamless as possible. THANK YOU.

31st Aug 2026 (14 days ago)Appreciated the honesty & openness when Michael valued our property & as a result sold in the first week of being on the market with them. Regular updates & great communication from all the team from start to finish. My only regret was not putting our house with them right at the beginning of our journey & if we were to move again in the future Leightons would be my first choice.
5th Jun 2026 (14 weeks ago)Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We encountered repeated issues with attention to detail, including property photographs requiring multiple rounds of correction due to obvious editing errors and eventually having to re-photograph the property. On more than one occasion, viewings were not properly prepared, curtains were left closed in a bedroom and there was confusion over access despite key locations having been provided, . We were also made aware that a viewer was left waiting outside because the agent arrived late to the appointment. While the manager responded professionally and apologised when concerns were raised, the overall experience left us feeling that greater organisation, communication and attention to detail were needed.
