From the very beginning, the level of customer service was exceptional; professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful throughout. Sam in particular was fantastic. He was attentive, proactive with follow-ups, and communicated clearly at every stage. He also showed real initiative in arranging viewings in a way that worked around our schedules and travel, which made a big difference. Although we didn’t end up purchasing a property through them, this was purely because we found our dream home elsewhere, not a reflection of their service in any way. In fact, compared to other agents we dealt with, they were miles ahead in terms of care, organisation, and overall experience. I don’t leave usually leave reviews and haven’t for the other agents we encountered, but this team genuinely deserves recognition for breaking the mould. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

7th Apr 2026 (28 days ago)The whole team at Lane & Holmes are professional, friendly & genuinely care about selling your home. From their photos for the sales sheet, which were excellent, to liaising between the parties to ensure a smooth sale. The whole team seemed to be involved & we’re all up to date on the position so could pick up if someone was off. Once our house was sold, Cathy took over the liaising of seeing the sale through to completion. Thank you to the entire team for getting us through a highly stressful, at times, process , we are now in our new home.

14th Apr 2026 (21 days ago)I would not recommend this letting agent or the landlords they represent. I was served a no-fault eviction, completely out of the blue, and the property was immediately re-listed despite there being no issues during my tenancy. On top of that, they attempted to withhold almost the entire deposit for “cleaning, including carpets”. Fortunately, the Deposit Protection Scheme reviewed the evidence fairly and correctly ruled that the property (including the carpets) had been returned in an appropriate condition — in fact cleaner than at the start of the tenancy. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Credit to the DPS for handling the dispute properly, but I would strongly advise caution when dealing with this agent.

I have found their rentals department to be extremely efficient, fast to act, and very reliable when it comes to solving any problems with the property that might have arisen from time to time. They have also shown themselves to be very reliable when it came to selling the property. If you are looking for an excellent managing agent, and a conscientious estate agent, then I can highly recommend Readings.

They smoothly guided me through the sales process from start to finish, and managed the (unconventional) buyer, defending our position when required. Julie was always swift to reply to communications and gave helpful practical advice when requested. Everyone was polite and professional. Smart, polished, charming without being too smooth for comfort. I would have liked the staff to answer the phone with their name, not just "H&H". I had to ask / guess who I was talking to when I rang in - Julie / Claire / Jayne / etc.

Their communication was fantastic, the whole process was smooth and easy, they went above and beyond to assist us with any queries, they were friendly, honest and quite frankly, excellent all round. We will be returning when the time comes to sell our next home and to purchase another. I cannot thank you all enough.

I knew she was working to sell my flat for me, it wasn't listed and left! All the staff were helpful and performed their role impeccably. Communication was easy, through Whatsapp and the street portal. I can highly recommend their services.
