Put the for sale board up on the wrong house. We were disappointed with the whole experience Horts are by all accounts a good agent so I’m told. Maybe we were unlucky

15th Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)If you’re a student, I do NOT recommend this company. You’re genuinely better off somewhere else unless you already know that everyone you’re living with is clean and trustworthy.<br><br>They don’t seem to care who is actually neglecting the house and will make it everyone’s problem, even if there is evidence that you personally are taking care of the house. I sent over 10 emails about the poor living conditions I had to deal with because I was placed with people I didn’t know who were constantly neglecting the house, and nothing really improved. There were also multiple noise complaints from different people in the house.<br><br>The way they handle complaints is honestly horrible. They basically just send out emails reminding everyone of the rules and that’s it. There don’t seem to be any actual consequences. You can keep complaining and explaining the situation, but it feels like nothing actually gets done.<br><br>Me and my partner also went to a viewing before they showed us another house and, honestly, to no surprise, the house was a complete mess. It was genuinely disgusting and made me question what some of their other shared/HMO properties are like.<br><br>If you’re thinking about renting with them, please read more reviews, especially reviews about their HMO/shared properties, before you make a decision.<br><br>Overall, my experience was extremely frustrating and I would personally look somewhere else.

I was supposed to be moved in on 20th Aug, and they called me in the morning to tell me that the toilet and shower weren’t working, while i confirmed the flat more than 2 weeks ago, and the worst part is Becky’s behaviour, she was so rude and said it wasnt her responsibility to look after these things, i was surprised then how was she renting out the flats without checking, she said they just check one day ago, she literally said it wasnt her fault that the flat got faulty toilet and shower room, she said it wasnt her responsibility. She sounded so irresponsible, insensitive and arrogant lady, i emailed her twice about the update she even stopped replying me. Top of that, when next day i entered the flat which was 21st aug while i was supposed to be in on 20th, i found the flat very dirty, the floor was filled with bits and the toilet looked nasty , wasnt clean at all. I wonder how she is doing this, totally irresponsible, unprofessional, arrogant and insensitive person i ever saw in marketing field. I wont recommend this agency to anyone. There are far more better people than her and this agency. Also, they didnt have any packet to put the agreement papers in, they just handed me over loose sheets, on asking about the packet or envelope they said they dont have it. That was ridiculous , and the person who was handing me over the keys didnt know what those keys are for. Oh God….

24th Aug 2026 (24 days ago)I cannot praise Sharman Quinney enough. We worked with Lauren Jones, who helped us sell our house extremely quickly after we had found a house we loved. Unfortunately, we missed out on the original property but Lauren and the team went door knocking locally to find us an alternative property that we loved even more that we have had our offer accepted on, all in the space of around 2 weeks!<br>Communication with Lauren and the team is excellent, no matter who you speak to on the phone everyone has knowledge of where you’re at in the process and they couldn’t have been more helpful.<br>We would definitely recommend and would work with Sharman Quinney again in the future.<br><br>Lauren, thank you so much!

23rd Aug 2026 (25 days ago)Good home agencies but there was a “financial lady” who was definitely a red flag.<br>1. I was forced to talk with this lady to meet their “qualifications”.<br>2. Claim free services but then actually charge mortgage fees on application (no matter successful or not)<br>3. Pressure sales of very expensive insurances<br>4. Wouldn’t take no for an answer, unnecessarily worry customers by saying clients could be making mistakes by rejecting their advice or putting children’s future at danger

The staff were approachable and took the time to deal with everything carefully rather than rushing through the process. I found their communication clear and their overall approach professional. It was reassuring to have a team that seemed genuinely focused on making things easier for their clients. I would certainly consider using their services again.

We would highly recommend MG especially Jo and Tristan. They were extremely communicative and delivered on their promises.<br><br>My husband and I also bought through MG and the journey was almost seamless (hiccups with the buyers and their solicitors ??????) but MG always remained professional and in the loop.<br><br>??????????- 25th Aug 2026 (23 days ago)From the very beginning, Megan and Sarah have both been absolutely incredible.<br><br>As first-time buyers, we had so many questions and, at times, the process felt overwhelming. Our success was due to their knowledge of the local market & giving us fantastic advice in relation to the pricing and marketing of our home.<br><br>During the whole process, communication was fantastic and we received regular updates at every stage.<br><br>We sat on the market for 12 weeks before moving to JG, and it was the best decision we made. We’d recommend them to anyone considering selling their home!

From viewing the property I purchased, with Richard going out of his way to accommodate my unexpected arrival from out of area and dealing expertly with the viewing through to the ongoing support from Sam and Charlotte during a very stressful process for me, I have been beyond impressed. The personal contact, almost hand-holding by phone & email by Charlotte in particular made me feel valued. To have someone understand my personal traumas while going through this process, dealing sensitively with my tears and exasperation with my buyers, has been such a huge support.
