We have now just sold our house, again with Sophie as our agent and she has been absolutely exemplary in managing everything and everyone, with great support from Andreia!<br>If you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy estate agents in the area I would definitely recommend Bennett Holmes and Sophie in particular.

10th Sep 2026 (7 days ago)This review is specifically only for Kevin, who I would wholeheartedly recommend based on my personal experience of working with him over many years.<br><br>Kevin was the estate agent who originally helped us purchase this house, so when it eventually came time to sell it, there was really only one person we wanted to deal with. By then, Kevin had moved to a different company, but we wanted only him again because of the excellent experience we had with him when we bought the property.<br><br>Selling the house was particularly challenging because I was not in the country, but Kevin made the entire process remarkably straightforward. He coordinated everything from arranging viewings and collecting keys to organising the required surveys, liaising with neighbours and dealing with all the practical details that needed to be managed locally. I always felt that things were being taken care of, even though I was thousands of miles away.<br><br>What sets Kevin apart is his approach. He is incredibly professional, calm and accommodating without ever being pushy or forceful. He listens, gives realistic advice about pricing and timelines, responds promptly and appropriately to emails, and genuinely makes you feel that he is working with you rather than simply trying to make a sale.<br><br>There is one phrase of Kevin’s that has stayed with me over the years. Whenever you asked him to do something, his response was invariably, “Leave it with me.” And that is exactly how you felt dealing with him—you could leave it with him and trust that he would sort it out.<br><br>From helping us buy the house to helping us sell it years later, Kevin has been consistently excellent. Finding him again specifically to sell our property was one of the best decisions we made.<br><br>A true gentleman, highly professional and exceptionally reliable. If you are looking for someone who will guide you properly, communicate honestly and take the stress out of the process, I would wholeheartedly recommend Kevin.

7th Sep 2026 (10 days ago)My first time ever renting in London, and I did it while relocating from overseas, so I really didn't know what to expect. Joel made it easy from the very first viewing. He talked me through every stage properly, from the offer through referencing and the tenancy agreement, and he came back to my questions promptly every time. He was especially patient with all the awkward paperwork that comes with moving countries. I never felt like I was chasing him for an answer, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Having someone this responsive and reliable on the London end made an enormous difference. I'd recommend Joel and Jonathan Arron Residential without hesitation.

A special mention of Amie here, who went above and beyond to keep things on track throughout (and reassurance for me when I needed it at times in the sale process). We also used their reccomended solicitors who were absolutely fantastic too.<br><br>When it came to photographs of the property, David was very knowledgeable about styling the house and we were able to sell within 2 days of being on the market. We are now in our absolute dream house and are very happy that we used Park Lane.- 13th Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)We really appreciated Holly and Ilana's professional and attentive oversight of the purchase of our new home. 8th Sep 2026 (9 days ago)We honestly couldn’t recommend Homes, and especially Lisa, more highly! Lisa was absolutely brilliant throughout the purchase of our new home. She was invaluable with her advice, always kept us updated and most importantly, whenever she said she was going to do something, she did it. We were able trust Lisa and that everything was in hand. That level of communication and reliability made such a difference during what can otherwise be a really stressful process. She went above and beyond to help us understand each stage of the process and gave us advice on what we could do to stay ahead of the curve in real time. She was also instrumental in keeping everything moving towards exchange, even communicating with our buyers’ solicitors when needed to help get things over the line. We always felt like Lisa was genuinely invested in helping us get the purchase completed and she was proactive, approachable and incredibly supportive from start to finish. We’ve dealt with a few estate agents during our house move, and Lisa really stood out. We couldn’t recommend Homes and Lisa more highly. Thank you so much for all your help!

13th Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)We have been with Chancellors since 2022 and the service has been consistently unacceptable. Despite paying for full management, our tenants repeatedly contacted us directly because Chancellors simply did not respond to them. We were effectively managing the property ourselves while still paying Chancellors for a service they were not providing.<br>In 2024, our tenants moved out while we were abroad due to a family bereavement. Our neighbour alerted us that the bins were overflowing and, shockingly, the property doors had been left open. We tried contacting Chancellors urgently, only to be told it was the checkout agency’s fault — an agency they themselves appointed.<br>When new tenants moved in (while we were still away), we asked Chancellors to downgrade our service to basic rent collection only. Once we returned, the new tenants showed us the condition the previous tenants had left behind:<br>Lawn stripped and replaced with artificial grass without our consent<br>Nails on walls inside the house<br>Missing blinds and curtains<br>Bins left overflowing, which the new tenants had to clean themselves<br>When we raised this with Chancellors, we were told they “don’t manage the property anymore” — despite the fact that the previous tenancy WAS managed. After weeks of being passed from department to department, we were told the Deposit Replacement Scheme wouldn’t pay anything because more than 30 days had passed. The delay was entirely caused by Chancellors’ internal confusion and lack of ownership. Only one helpful staff member, Kwesi, escalated the issue and we received around £100 — nowhere near the actual cost of the damage.<br>During the 2025 renewal, we clearly stated we did NOT want DRS and were not charged. Now, during the 2026 renewal, Chancellors have suddenly deducted DRS for 2025 and are demanding “proof” of the agreement — even though their own staff confirmed it at the time.<br>Trying to reach the property manager has become impossible. No calls returned for over a week, emails ignored despite CC’ing multiple staff. Today, a staff member told us the property manager “doesn’t want to speak to us because we shouted at her.” This is completely false — she has never once returned our calls, so shouting at her would be impossible.<br>Her email now claims she has “no record” of the DRS agreement and insists we provide proof, while refusing to address the late rent queries or the ongoing service failures.<br>The service is chaotic, unprofessional, and deeply frustrating. Departments contradict each other, no one takes responsibility, and we are left to deal with the consequences every single time. After years of mismanagement, negligence, and financial errors, we simply want to terminate our contract and move our property elsewhere.
23rd Jul 2026 (8 weeks ago)I'm so pleased I chose Blake and Thickbroom to sell my dad's bungalow. I met with David, he was lovely & not at all pushy. I was kept informed whenever there was a viewing and given honest feedback, they were always helpful in answering any questions. It was reassuring to know they did regular checks on the property as I don't live nearby. I would definitely recommend Blake and Thickbroom.

Luci works hard and is there whenever you need advice. She kept us updated at all stages of the sale and as others have said she is down to earth, honest and understands the market. She listens to what her buyers and sellers what and matches them up which is why she is so successful. Thank you again Luci for looking after us again Ginette & Stuart July 2026

They sold our flat not once, but twice- after the first sale fell through, and on both occasions, they achieved a price higher than any other estate agent was willing to list it for.<br><br>From the very beginning, they were professional, knowledgeable and incredibly dedicated. They clearly knew the market and had the confidence to value our property properly, rather than simply giving us the lowest figure to secure the listing.<br><br>Communication was excellent throughout, and they worked hard to keep everything moving and make the process as smooth as possible. Special mention to Cameron, Alex & Frankie who were all brilliant.<br><br>We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Daniel Frank. Thank you for all your hard work!
