21st Aug 2026 (25 days ago)We recently bought our new home through HF Devizes and had a really positive experience from start to finish.<br>Libby, Tom and Ryan were all fantastic to deal with; friendly, responsive and incredibly accommodating throughout the whole process. What we particularly appreciated was how honest and open they were about the property, including the bigger-ticket concerns that come with buying an old cottage. At no point did we feel things were being glossed over or that we were being given the hard sell, which gave us a lot of confidence in the purchase.<br><br>Buying a house can be stressful, particularly when there are a few quirks and complexities involved, but the team were pragmatic, helpful and straightforward whenever we needed them.<br><br>We’re now very happily settling into our new home and would have absolutely no hesitation in buying through HF Devizes again. Highly recommended.

Leigh and Helen gave a balanced and thorough appraisal of the property when suggesting the sale price. From the moment we gave our instructions, Helen and the team were totally brilliant, always keeping us updated, and always responding very promptly to any emails or phone calls. Selling a home can be a very fraught experience, but I felt that we were thoroughly supported throughout. Many thanks to Helen especially, but also to all of the team.

However a very special thank you to Charlotte who went above and beyond our expectations to see the process through. She was funny , serious and always professional.

The photos and 3D images were top quality and we had an offer within a week. Many thanks to everyone at Real Estate!
3rd Sep 2026 (12 days ago)We had been with a competitor for 8 months, and only had 12 viewings. Switched to Webbers, Ilfracombe and initially spoke with Henry Swain, who advised us clearly with a plan to move forward.<br>At this point Keri Harrop was allocated as our dedicated Property Advisor.<br>Within 9 days of our revised advert going live, we received an acceptable offer and started the Conveyancing process. This is where Keri showed how exceptional a talent she is for Webbers - constant communication, guidance and support both by phone and email. Questions were always answered quickly and clearly, her help was immense at what is a very stressful time. She constantly checked with solicitors, buyers and all parties involved for updates. Keri even on her days off, was more than prepared to offer support.<br>Webbers have a real gem in Keri and I know they will appreciate the way she conducts herself.

Martin and Marc have always been friendly, courteous and very helpful. Communication is always easy and clear. I would highly recommend Read Maurice if you are looking to rent or buy.

He was efficient, flexible with what worked for our home life/ work schedule and a very stress free selling process and sold our home within one day of viewings - highly recommend.

The team were friendly, professional and highly efficient throughout the process. The property was marketed very quickly after instruction, with excellent presentation and proactive promotion. We were particularly pleased with how swiftly they found a buyer, which exceeded our expectations. Communication was outstanding. The team were always attentive, kept us updated at every stage, and were quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Their personal approach and willingness to go the extra mile made what could have been a stressful process feel straightforward and well managed. Thanks to Paul, Toby, Jess and Carolyn who we dealt with during the process and apologies if we've left anyone off. We would not hesitate to recommend John Lake Estate Agents to anyone looking to buy or sell property in the Torquay area. A truly excellent service from a knowledgeable and dedicated team.

They projected a sense of wanting to succeed for us and they certainly did by selling our house twice. They showed an excellent market awareness which enabled us to maximise the value of our property which I don’t believe we would have achieved with another agent. Both our sales were achieved by viewings on a Sunday! They worked 8 days a week for us!
