He always welcomed you into the office with a nice smile.<br>My daughter was in contact with him quite a lot as well and was very impressed with the way he communicated with us on the progress of the sale.<br>I would recommend Milburys every time.<br>Thank you for all your kindness and help especially Owen.<br><br>Margaret Bryan.

4th Aug 2026 (13 weeks ago)I recently sold my 4 bed detached house through Eric Lloyd in Churston, Brixham. Although the legal process was challenging I found the professional ongoing support of Rachel and her team invaluable.<br>Eric Lloyd also have a ‘Sales Progression’ team in the Brixham Office who are brilliant at keeping you regularly updated with what is happening.<br>Overall a professional service with excellent communication, honest appraisal of what is needed to achieve the sale/purchase and a desire to get their customer the end goal.<br>I would highly recommend this Estate Agents.
16th Oct 2026 (15 days ago)I have just bought a new house from Persimmon Homes and used a preferred Estate Agents, Bradleys in Paignton, via the Persimmon Homes "Home Change" scheme, as one of the two agents to sell my house. Thank God I did! My house has been on the market with several other estate agents previously but to no avail. Bradleys in Paignton seem to have been the only ones to actively sell my house and get people through the door to view. We had several viewings and after a while a sale was agreed. Although there are only 3 properties in the chain, things have been very slow with getting the details finalised but, again, Bradleys have been the only ones to actively chase this, continually phoning the housebuilder, solicitors and the buyer to move things along. Debbie and Arash especially have gone above and beyond to chase up the progress on the sale and have, as requested, contacted me every single week to update me on the progress, whether there was any news or not. As we were coming up to exchanging contracts, Bradleys were phoning me every single day with the updates and seemed to be doing all the work from my perspective! I cannot thank them enough for all the continued hard work and effort, help and support that they put in to selling my property through to the exchange of contracts. The Manager, Debbie, even contacted me personally afterwards to congratulate me on the sale going through. I wouldn't hesistate in using Bradleys in Paignton again and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to sell their house. Under sometimes very difficult circumstances, they proved to be invaluable in assisting the progression of the sale and made the situation run as smoothly as possible. The professionalism of the team was outstanding and I would recommend anyone looking to sell, rent or buy their property, to use Bradleys in Paignton, without any hesistation. Thank you to Debbie and the team, couldn't have done it without you!
19th Oct 2026 (12 days ago)In 3 months Connells gave confusing information about viewings, went weeks without a single viewing, claimed the house was not competitive with similar properties, feedback from viewers had to be dragged out of them never offered. Then having not secured a single offer said the only way to sell the property would be to go to auction!

29th Oct 2026 (2 days ago)This estate agent didn't seem to be very proactive. Once the property was listed they appeared to just sit back and wait for people to contact them rather than actively bringing it to the attention of potential buyers who were looking for this type of house.
8th May 2026 (25 weeks ago)All the above 'excellents' look ridiculous I know, but they accurately and honestly reflect the service that I have received from Richard James which has been nothing short of astonishing. From the very initial photographs for the advertisement to keeping me informed of viewings and confirming the results of viewings, they could not have been more attentive and considerate. In particular I must name and thank Mr James Sargeant of their Wroughton office for his dogged and persistent qualities. I live in Devon and was afraid that I might not be kept quite so well informed as a result, but I need not have worried. I continue to be delighted with Richard James performance and would urge anyone selling a property to ring them up tomorrow - or even this afternoon!- 7th Oct 2026 (24 days ago)Izzy at Connells was exceptional. The transaction was not without its difficulties, particularly due to delays and challenges involving the seller’s solicitors, but John Lake remained professional, proactive and supportive from start to finish. A particular mention must go to Paul, whose communication was excellent. His information was consistently accurate, clear and straight to the point, which gave us confidence at some fairly frustrating stages of the process. His efforts undoubtedly helped keep the chain together and ultimately ensured that the purchase got over the line. We are very grateful for the support we received and would have no hesitation in recommending John Lake to anyone buying or selling property in the Torquay area. Excellent service from a team who genuinely worked hard to get the job done.

6th Sep 2026 (8 weeks ago)I would strongly advise anyone considering renting through Belvoir to think twice.<br><br>For clarity, I am a genuine former tenant writing about my own experience. I rented a flat through Belvoir from March 2026 until July 2026, and I reported the issues below to them during my tenancy. I am including specific details because I have seen responses to other negative reviews where Belvoir has questioned whether the reviewer was actually a tenant. I have no reason to write this review other than to accurately describe my experience as a tenant.<br><br>My experience with them was extremely poor. The flat I was let was in a seriously sub-standard condition, and the problems were extensive. When I moved in, it was dirty despite my having repeatedly requested a deep clean. There was grime throughout the kitchen, dirty carpets, damaged curtains, broken drawers and cupboards, windows that wouldn't close properly, a loose front-door handle, mould in the kitchen cupboards and numerous other defects.<br><br>The problems didn't stop there. The plumbing was particularly bad. The kitchen tap had extremely poor hot-water pressure and was almost impossible to regulate between hot and cold. The bathroom tap leaked, the toilet frequently blocked and the cistern was very slow to refill. The boiler was exceptionally loud and situated directly beside the bedrooms, to the point that I needed earplugs to sleep.<br><br>I reported these problems. Belvoir arranged three plumber appointments; the plumber only attended two. On both occasions he said the bathroom taps would be replaced. They never were. Instead, he tightened part of the tap, which stopped one leak but resulted in filthy water coming out of the middle of the tap when it was turned on.<br><br>There were electrical problems too. One of the larger electric hob elements would consistently trip the breaker and cut electricity to the entire flat. I eventually stopped using it. A hallway light fitting also failed completely. The light is the only thing they actually fixed.<br><br>Mould subsequently appeared in the kitchen and later on the pipes in the hallway. I reported this as well. By the end of the tenancy there were still numerous unresolved issues.<br><br>Most importantly, I had specifically told Belvoir before moving in that I needed a quiet property because I work from home. I was assured that the flat was very quiet and that nobody had ever complained about noise. In reality, there was a family with two young children directly below me and there was frequent screaming and banging throughout the day and at weekends. The noise made it extremely difficult to work from home. The Wi-Fi was also sufficiently poor between the living room and spare bedroom that it interfered with wireless headsets and made reliable internet calls from the office impossible.<br><br>I therefore asked to leave the tenancy early because the property was fundamentally unsuitable for the purpose for which I had rented it. When I spoke to Matthew, I was told that I could only leave early if I paid Belvoir £500 as an advertising fee. I was consequently left in a property I considered unsuitable for several additional months.<br><br>Overall, this was one of the most uncomfortable and poorly maintained flats I have ever lived in. What made the experience worse was not simply the condition of the property, but the way the problems were handled after they were reported.<br><br>I would not rent through Belvoir again.
