7th Apr 2026 (6 mo. ago)I had a good experience working with the team at Richard Godsell. The market for the property was limited as it was a retirement flat so we had few viewings however it sold after a few months, marginally less than advertised but for an acceptable sum. I would consider the original valuation to be accurate. Communication with the agent was good and while the sale took longer than expected due to legal complications, the agent did a really good job of keeping the buyer, who we were at risk of losing, placated through a difficult period.
19th Aug 2026 (10 weeks ago)Very friendly and helped me push things along when things slowed down during the transaction. They were a bit pushy when trying to get me to use their broker and solicitor.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Jane King, who has been so helpful throughout the entire process. She regularly called me to keep me updated on how everything was progressing, always replied to my emails promptly, and consistently went above and beyond to help. She is also a very nice person and a pleasure to talk with.<br><br>A big thank you as well to the rest of the team for all of your hard work and support. 15th Sep 2026 (7 weeks ago)I viewed a property today and travelled to attend the viewing. The viewing itself went well, I told the person I will make a decision tomorrow and they knew I worked and needed to travel and hour away. They agreed. Yet around two hours later I was contacted by another member of the estate agent team and told that another offer had been made and another person had also enquired.<br><br>I explained that I did not want to be rushed into making a decision and that I would consider the property and call the following day. Despite this, I was then told that I needed to make a decision by 11am the next morning.<br><br>I found this extremely pressuring, particularly given that buying a property is a major financial decision and I had already clearly explained that I wanted time to consider it.<br><br>I subsequently spoke to Kate about how I felt pressured during the process. Unfortunately, I felt my concerns were dismissed, with no apology or acknowledgement.<br><br>I appreciate that estate agents may have competing offers, but I believe buyers should be given reasonable time to consider such a significant purchase without being pressured into an immediate decision.<br><br>Based on my experience, I would not use this estate agent again. My first and last time not would I recommend it.

6th Oct 2026 (25 days ago)We recently sold our home through Douglas & Dean and honestly couldn’t be happier with the service we received from start to finish.<br><br>Andy and Nicola and Jake of course were fantastic. Having lived there myself for over 18 years, selling was a big decision for me and there was naturally a lot of emotion attached to moving on. They handled everything professionally, while still giving the process a really personal touch.<br><br>The first people to view my house made an offer and I ended up with exactly what I was hoping to achieve. They were first-time buyers and, from the outset, seemed like ideal buyers for our home, so we were delighted.<br><br>Then came the task of finding a new home.<br>A special mention has to go to Andy, who helped us well before we had even found the property we eventually moved to. When we were trying to secure another property, Andy went above and beyond to help us, and the effort he put in during what was a particularly stressful time was genuinely appreciated. Although that purchase ultimately didn’t work out, despite all of our best efforts, Andy continued to be incredibly helpful and supportive, and we always felt that he genuinely wanted to help us find the right outcome. This included reaching out on social media on our behalf.<br><br>The sale itself wasn’t always straightforward, particularly towards the end, but Andy and Nicola remained helpful, approachable and persistent throughout. Their communication and willingness to go the extra mile made what could have been a very stressful process considerably easier.<br><br>We’re now happily settled into our new home and can look back on the whole process knowing that we had a great team behind us.<br><br>A huge thank you to Andy, Nicola and everyone at Douglas & Dean. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.

After previously having my house on the market with another agent without success, switching to Farr & Farr made all the difference—they got it sold!<br>?Their communication throughout the entire process was brilliant, seamlessly keeping in touch with me, the buyer’s agent, the solicitors, and the broker. They were incredibly supportive and worked around my schedule every step of the way. They looked after us from the beginning to the end, overcoming any problems and relieving us of the anxieties related to the buying/selling process. Great communication throughout, with nothing being too much trouble for them. Would highly recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again should we need to.
