18th Mar 2024 (29 days ago)We used Savills Exeter to sell our residence in North Devon. The process was very smooth from start to finish, especially impressive given a challenged trading environment and interest rate uncertainty. We achieved our target price with a very harmonious closing process. I think both the Buyer and Seller should equally feel good about the transaction, facilitated in no small part due to Savills Exeter. Of particular note was Chris Clifford's professionalism and exceptional communication skills that went above and beyond - a great comfort to my wife and me. Recommended.
15th Feb 2024 (9 weeks ago)This estate agency is absolutely terrible. As a person trying to buy a home they are rude on the phone and don’t seem proactive, or fussed. I think it’s the worst estate agency I’ve come across and it’s a shame because they seem the prominent agency in Dorset and Devon (perhaps they know they have the monopoly). I’m now searching for homes that are with other estate agents- 3rd Apr 2024 (13 days ago)I dealt with Stags Exeter Office letting team on a number of apartments. Advice on rents and marketing proved to be correct every time and in documenting deals agreed they were efficient and thorough. Tess, Jackie and the team were a pleasure to deal with and, when asked, even willing to provide generally tenancy advice on matters outside their role. Would I use them again? Without hesitation.
26th Mar 2024 (21 days ago)This is the second time we have worked with Strutt and Parker and it confirms that they really are the best around. Always professional, even when it gets stressful, Helen was a godsend and was always at the end of the phone when we needed her. We would highly recommend them to anyone.
8th Apr 2024 (8 days ago)Offer to buy a house was accepted and it was up to our surveyors to highlight a Grade 2 listing. Whilst Knight Frank ‘empathise’ we are at considerable out of pocket expense. Property now correctly advertised as listed and whatever the background of who claims what, the agent is expected to have carried out due diligence to confirm facts of what they are marketing. Knight Frank Exeter blame their customer and empathise with potential buyer where legislation states an agent must disclose all information before costs related to surveying or conveying are undertaken. However, this shoddy outfit shirk all responsibility; what a reflection of where we are in todays world. Referring to ombudsman as customer service are running on pastoral ‘empathy’ rather than address a problem where potential buyers remain considerably out of pocket. Our contract was with Knight Frank and their codes of ethics and standards where due diligence is the foundation. The Exeter office has failed miserably to address their duty of professional responsibility. Buyers (and sellers) beware! (investigation response was that "we didn't know, not out fault") With a pending county court claim all is resolved!
28th May 2023 (10 mo. ago)My property is currently under offer, l have been very pleased with all aspects of the sale process so far. I received good advice regarding the asking price. Feedback after the 27 viewings was made quickly and allowed me to adapt the asking price and then achieve an acceptable offer. I have no hesitation in recommending Greenslade Taylor Hunt.

He was friendly, we felt very comfortable talking with him and he answered all our questions. Highly recommend.

The team were available to accommodate numerous short notice requests to view the property and also helped in providing information and resources requested. They were not pushy at all and respected our views and wishes . We now have possession of our house and are very pleased to recommend this Taunton Bradley team

9th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)This agent has been so unprofessional with our rental property. We are overseas so we put a lot of trust into the management of our house. First they were keeping our rental payment for months in their bank account before paying us. It got so bad that we had to get the tenants to pay us direct. They admitted to poor management and loss of our paperwork, including contract at this time. The annual report never reflected the true state of the property. 4 photos are not enough!! They should have been taking at least 30-40 photos. Damp that we found a year ago which we never knew about until we visited the property, render on garden wall falling off, cupboards next to oven burnt and discoloured, to name a few of the issues. This was so upsetting that we decided to sell the property. Then to add salt to the wound we had to pay the agent 1% of the selling price as our tenants bought it, who they had found for us. Be aware of that clause we had forgotten about it as it had been many years since we had signed this contract. You really need to be checking your house yourself to make sure it is being maintained. Sadly we were only too willing to maintain our property if we had known more. What we did see from the photos we did attend to but that also took months to get done, although emergency work was attended to promptly. As a result of the lack of upkeep we had to reduce the asking price. Lesson learned and hopefully the agents read this and manage their properties much better!!

12th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)Tamlyns managed my rental property for 2 years without issue at a reasonable fee. They also acted as my agent when I eventually sold the house, and did their role adequately. In managing the property they were honest throughout, leaving both me as the landlord and the tenants quite content. They kept good track of landlord liabilities, and recommended tradesmen to complete routine and emergency repairs impartially. Communication is good, though sometimes quite brief.

18th Mar 2024 (29 days ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
25th Oct 2023 (25 weeks ago)What can I say , having my house on the market for nearly 9 months with another estate agents I changed to the property centre , within 2 days we had a viewing and an offer ( even managed another viewing a couple of days later ) ! Pleasure to deal with the description and picture are a on a different level compared with the other company and can’t recommend the property centre enough ! Thank you Louise ????
