My impression is that none of the BM staff had any experience whatsoever - a very junior inexperienced team, lead by a very lacklustre, hands-off manager. It was clear very quickly they were not representing my house properly - which is the easiest house to sell! It's turnkey ready - presented as a show house in the most-sought after area, and on a private street. Yet i got not one viewing in 7 weeks! I had to re-write all the particulars - they missed ALL the sellable details! Because they were in breach of their own contract by going to market without my knowledge or permission, I was able to leave when they finally terminated the contract only after I brought in a litigator. Horrendous experience. Their contracts are also 20 weeks long! Stay away! Use a local, independent estate agent who cares about their reputation, knows the area, has a strong staff retention rate, employees who are homeowners and have gone through the buying/selling process themselves and want to do a great job.

We purchased our new house through Barnard with the help of Imogen and Kelly
They were friendly, informative and understood our needs, so didn't message us with irrelevant properties.
Towards the business end they were very supportive and communicative which really helped us to progress.
I viewed a lot of house and I'm glad I could by a Barnard one. They're superior to the other agents we viewed with

Terrible agency, an agent called Jeordie who had just come for a viewing while I wasn't at home, let the front door open, upon my arrival I also found the French window to the garden open, all the lights on and despite having explicitly requested to wear shoe covers or remove shoes have entered the house with shoes on.
I can only be very dissatisfied and not recommend this agency to anyone because the blame lies with the agent but also with her manager who probably didn't teach her how to work. Unfortunately just to leave this review I must put a star at least but I'm not giving any star to this agency.

Kelly and Imogen were great in helping me sell my late father’s property. Everything went seamlessly and the communication from them was fantastic. I was never left wondering what was happening. Would recommend Barnard Marcus if you are thinking of selling your property.

Zuzanna in the sales team was charming, knowledgeable and very efficient. She kept us up to date with selling of our property and handled queries etc promptly We would highly recommend her for the sake of a property

We initially met and signed an agreement with two gentlemen, who were very convincing. We never met them again, and only found out months later that they both left the branch. Our sales instead was run by a member of the team, and we weren’t convinced with their performance or experience. None of our c40 interests and viewings turned into an offer. We felt like they were just opening our door for anyone to view with minimum follow up or effort.

I was told by an acquaintance that all estate agents in the Epsom area were rubbish! Just as well then that I selected Barnard Marcus in Ewell to sell my late Mother's maisonette. They were friendly and efficient throughout the process and achieved a very acceptable value in very difficult marketing times. Communication was excellent and I was advised of all bookings, receiving feedback afterwards. Everyone there was on the ball and kept a close eye on things as we crept closer to completion. I would highly recommend Barnard Marcus to anyone selling, or buying, in the Ewell area.
