Can't recommend Harvey Richards and West highly enough. Friendly, professional and straightforward to deal with. They know the market inside out and provided honest advice, a realistic valuation and an approach that worked where others had failed.

31st May 2024 (8 weeks ago)The Sales Team at Colebrook Sturrock in Sandwich are biased, disrespectful and seem to lack the skills required to handle negotiations with tact. When we found out that the house we wanted had been suddenly taken off the market the year before, we asked for the current owners to confirm that they would still sell to us if their onward purchase fell through for any reason, i.e. would they consider moving into rented accommodation? This is an extremely common request and one that we had fulfilled in the sale of our own property however, Philip King (Sales Manager), had the audacity to call us naive for merely suggesting it. Given how much money can be spent on searches and surveys before exchange of contracts, we wanted some assurance that we weren't going to meet the same fate as the previous potential buyer. The negotiations after our viewing were simply embarrassing and we were shocked that Colebrook Sturrock entertained some of the proposed sale conditions from the sellers. For example, they had requested a £10,000 non-refundable payment in the event that we decide to withdraw from the purchase and this was even before they had accepted our offer, and before we had the opportunity to request searches and inspections An estate agent with any sense of integrity would understand that such a request straddles the line of ethics this early on in a transaction. Anyhow, later on but immediately after we received our mortgage offer we requested access for a Homebuyer Survey. Sarah (another member of the sales team) was extremely rude and suggested that we had left it to the last minute to commission a survey and asked if we had made the sellers aware that we wanted one. She reiterated that the sellers wanted to exchange contracts at this point and we felt this was an attempt to rush through the entire process. They knew very well that we had only just received our mortgage offer. Firstly, a survey is the next logical step after receiving a mortgage offer so it should have come as no surprise to the agent, and secondly, in line with their own policy, any communications between the buyers and sellers should be made through them. Why would they not consider that we would want to commission a survey for a 44 year old home? Lynne (sales team) also felt it necessary to advise us that surveys are not compulsory and we again felt this was an attempt to rush us through the process. We then had a bit of back and forth regarding inspections for the gas and electricity because the sellers couldn't tell us when they were last safety checked. This coincided with a request from us to bring completion forward by a week so that we may take advantage of a reduction in land tax. Lynne was rather aggressive in her approach to us and passed on that the sellers would only agree to that if we exchanged contracts in the following two days and as such, leaving us no time to book safety checks and review the reports. Had we not have loved the property so much, we would not have have continued on with Colebrook Sturrock. It was very clear that they were over familiar with the sellers and it reflected in their level of professionalism throughout the transaction. If you're an experienced buyer who knows how to negotiate, Colebrook Sturrock will not be able to meet your needs and are sure to disappoint. They do not value buyers, only sellers. Do your research and look elsewhere.

Excellent communication, efficient, enthusiastic and always willing to take our wishes into consideration. She was so helpful and welcoming ever since we’ve met her. She really cared about our interests and she knew exactly what type of house we were looking for. I have been in the market search for couple of months or maybe more but when we met Sasha for the first time for a viewing, she was so kind to us and she knew what will be suitable to our best budget and thanks to her we are moving in to our first property next month. Thank you Sasha! And thanks to everyone at Your Move. We are ever so grateful.

8th Jul 2024 (19 days ago)We have used Mann in Ramsgate for several years now and have been delighted by their personal and friendly approach. In particular we always enjoy dealing with Ms. Shannon Jones, who is particularly attentive and dedicated to outstanding customer care and also extremely diligent concerning the fine details of short-hold tenancies and property management. She somehow manages to offer all this whilst being not only extremely friendly, but also (whilst one respects that she is extremely busy), she is always available for telephone discussions and generous offers of advice, which is hugely appreciated by any landlord. We have a large property rental portfolio and recently turned our backs on a local competitor who have through their own sheer determination to do so, become so big an outfit that they have unwittingly lost all the personal one on one qualities they once had, and are now just a machine, where mistakes are made too often and you never speak to the same person twice. You will never be treated like this at Mann’s. Personal. Friendly. Efficient. Ask for Shannon Jones, and you’ll never go anywhere else.

Respected my initial request for a valuation with being hassled about it and when we decided to go ahead some months later Darren and Samantha did great work with the pics and marketing. Casey was always on time with the viewings. But the star of the process was Anne whom chased the sale with the other agents in a long chain and much else. Well over and above. It simply would not have got to the point of exchange without here. Thanks all.
26th May 2022 (2 years ago)The unique service offered by Griffin has enabled me to complete a DIY sale of my home on the Internet using national property sale platforms as if I was the website. I listed my property at 8am and by 9.30am on the same day I was receiving emails from potential purchaser's. I well know the power of the Internet, but even I was surprised by the speed of it all. The Griffin team have the power to listen and assist you, I wish to thank the person at Griffin who originated this professional service and his team for doing a great job. 18th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

16th Jul 2024 (11 days ago)Slow to get anyone interested in property at the beginning very poor advice on how to dress the property. We had to take our own decisions on improving the interior before anyone showed interest ie painting walls and woodwork, removing some furniture to make house look less cluttered and replacing damaged internal doors. Following which we had someone show interest.

Informative, proactive and no need to chase them for information as they were already on the case. Nice guys to deal with and we would recommend them to anyone looking to sell, as we will be using them in the future.

While the first property sale was relatively straightforward and stress-free, the second one presented unforeseen challenges. Despite selling fairly quickly before the Christmas holidays, we were left devastated when the buyers decided not to proceed with the purchase in the new year. Throughout this turbulent period, Scott's unwavering commitment to keeping us informed and reassured was truly commendable. Despite the setback, he wasted no time in springing into action, swiftly relisting the property and orchestrating a successful sale within a week of relaunching it to the market.
