31st Mar 2026 (16 days ago)I have known Hunters Bishop Auckland for nearly three years and have always found them professional and trustworthy. During my recent house purchase, I had a very poor experience with my conveyancer, with delays of over seven months, poor communication, and misplaced documents. At one point, I was close to losing the property. Hunters stepped in at the right time, helped me find a new conveyancer, and supported me patiently throughout the situation without ever rushing me. What makes them stand out from other estate agents is their excellent communication. They always answer calls, provide clear updates, and follow up consistently. You can rely on them to be there when you need support. A special thank you to Ms. Ela, as well as Elizabeth, Jo, and Guy—an outstanding and professional team. Highly recommended!

I used this company 3 years ago and I wasn’t sure as that last valuer didn’t seem that interested and I was pleasantly surprised how much detail Mark went into. Response from agent : "I am unaware if you currently live at the property or not. We have no involvement with the property and have not since July 2025. In this circumstance we are unable to provide a reference"

25th Sep 2025 (6 mo. ago)Having a house with langdales estate and letting has been a nightmare of my life not only did they promise me things that never went through they made me pay for rat infestation problems never sent no one out for fixtures and when they did it was bodge jobs everywhere absolutely disgusting. Ceiling was falling through lucky it never while I was there after I reported it constantly which I have proof for. Had to watch my home turn worse beach’s I refused to have to do everything with estate agents who were ignorant untill paying rent

From listing, to arranging viewings, to getting offers, to finally completing, communication was excellent. Viewings and key handover were completed by the team. 18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
