5th Mar 2026 (9 days ago)Had a good experience letting with sovereign house. Everything went smoothly and quickly, contract signed within a week of the viewing. Very easy to contact and get hold of. Jimmy was especially helpful.
5th Mar 2026 (9 days ago)Unprofessional. AVOID at all costs!!! I had a deeply upsetting experience with this agency, I can’t give it a zero, so I will give it a one. After a failed application, they attempted to unlawfully withhold my holding deposit of over £400 by misrepresenting the Tenant Fees Act 2019 and making factually incorrect claims about my guarantor’s residency status. As a foreign person living in the UK, I felt targeted by their intimidation tactics. Kier Hawkins was incredibly rude on the phone, he screamed at me and treated me like I was "dumb" for asking legitimate questions about my application and deposit. It felt like they were banking on me not knowing the local laws. It was only after I formally involved The Property Ombudsman in my emails that the Director finally agreed to a refund. Even then, the final correspondence from the office, including the director, was spiteful and unprofessional. They don’t care about tenants rights. If you are from any international background, please be very careful with this branch. They use bullying and misinformation to try and keep your money. Document everything and know your rights!

28th Jan 2026 (6 weeks ago)I appointed Farrell Lewis about 6 months ago. So far so good. I have a troublesome issue with my existing tenant whom Farrell Lewis ‘inherited’ from my previous agent. I am impressed by the efforts Aziz and Billy are putting in to resolve the issue for me in a professional, open and committed way. I must say that they have earned my trust which is very important since I live overseas and far away from London. It is also very easy and convenient to contact Aziz via WhatsApp messaging and voice call. I have no hesitation to recommend their service to anyone.

27th Jan 2026 (7 weeks ago)If I could give no stars I would. Will, who said he was the manager of the two Hackney branches, really could not manage a rice pudding. He was enthusiastic until the sale was agreed and then didn't want to bother with any communicating thereafter. He gave the clear impression that he just needed to sit back, do nothing more and wait for the commission to role. He gave clear indications that he did not have time to try and help progress the sale because he was too busy trying to make other property sales. I came away with the definite idea that Dexters work on agreeing as many sales as they possibly can and then do nothing thereafter and keep their fingers crossed that the sale completes. They work on quantity of sales and not quality of service. What Will does not take into account is that buying and selling is very stressful for the buyers and sellers and part of the agents job should be to be very active in progressing the sale and keeping in communication with other agents and the buyers and sellers until the sale is complete. Avoid listing your property for sale with Dexters to avoid disappointment.

21st May 2025 (9 mo. ago)Rented from these folks for about 9 1/2 years. Loved the property managers, never had any problems until landlords hiked the rent in 2023 and wouldn’t negotiate. Length of communication silence meant the agency left me with about two weeks to move out and sent several insistent emails saying I had to vacate the premises in that period, which was rough after such a long tenancy and isn’t in keeping with what tenants are actually legally able to do. I was eventually able to get a small lease extension and moved, but it really felt dreadful to be treated that way as a long-time client.
