Excellent friendly pub. Delicious gins I hadn’t heard of. Yummy baked Camembert with fresh figs. Wonderful evening!

Gorgeous pub, really cosy and great atmosphere. Ate lunch there and the food was incredible, we all ordered completely different things off the menu and every dish came out so quick, piping hot and was delicious. I had the vegan salad with lentils and sweet potato - has to be one of the best vegan meals I’ve ever had! So refreshing to have a pub that caters for all and does great food and decent price drinks!

I went in there for a Sunday roast (26/9/21) & after reading so many great reviews I thought I’d get a good lunch. For £16.50 all I got was 4 slices of carrots, 4 of the smallest roast potatoes I have ever seen, a bit of green cabbage, a Yorkshire pudding & 3 slices of lamb. I was really disappointed & wondered where the rest of it was . What a rip off! I even had to go to a shop to buy a grab bag packet of crisps as I was still starving after eating what would have been less than a kids portion in any other decent place. Won’t be going again! It didn’t even warrant 1* to be fair!

Just enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Railway. There's the best range of real ales I've seen recently and the food is excellent. We had calamari that was very well cooked in a tasty batter. The house salad is excellent, much better than the uninspiring name suggests.

Staff super. Excellent beer choices. Lovely little garden area. Walkend through some nice indoor spaces to the garden. Plenty of room all over.

Sad to see some negative comments of my ex-local (only ex because I have moved.) I make an effort to go back here when visiting friends nearby because of the great atmosphere and unique inside and outside spaces. Some issues with the app over the past year but staff are genuine, friendly and clearly always making the extra effort. Food is far better than other local rival pubs too.

Average pub with decent food and good service. They provide the option of inside or outdoor (garden or front porch) seating. You can order at the bar or via an app. Food is nice and well priced.

It was nice to pop in for a beer .
The staff were very friendly and helpful .
They even showed me how to use the app which made ordering drinks so much easier .
Definitely will use this wonderful pub again .

Very nice pub, now that you can dine outdoors we decided to walk to our local pub to just be outdoors and enjoy the good weather. Its table service only so you have to scan the QR code and put your order through . Food was delicious too.

A Florence
Monday night - I was expecting a bare minimum of staff and everything to run a bit slower than I'm used to. But that was definitely not the case. With the post lockdown vibe still in full force, the place was buzzing. And the staff were more than ready for it. Pints and food arrived more promptly than I remember back in the real world and the staff were just as friendly as I remembered.
I'm looking forward to The Railway in a more normal world but very happy with how they're handling this interim time.
