4th Apr 2024 (16 weeks ago)We recently sold our very large family home and after asking a few agents around were impressed by the smallest, local agent, Big Move. Aaron arrived having extensive knowledge of how the market was and how much other similar homes were selling for etc. Throughout the journey, he has been professional, responsive and always kept us up to date with all aspects of the sale as soon as he had news. We were overseas for much of the time and Aaron managed all viewings, scheduled surveyors and even workmen who had to go in when we had a leak. We felt confident in handing Aaron the keys and he checked it regularly for us. Even now, after completion, Aaron is helping us with other aspects arising from the sale. We would always recommend Aaron and Big Move to all of our friends in the Hackney area.

Response time was fabulous and finally we got the lovely house. The whole renting process was easy to get through and upcoming questions are handled promptly and ready to be solved. So helpful, very clear, offering me excellent insights and advice - making me feel calm, and in control. Also his characteristic charm bought some joy and levity to a typically v stressful experience. The house ended up falling through as my chain broke but in this Mosh was fair and clear and did his absolute best to help me navigate and keep me in the game. Having entrusted them with selling our family home of 30 years; they were up against another one of the other leading estate agents in the area. They managed to secure a price above what we had expected! They were professional and honest throughout. I am very grateful and cannot recommend them highly enough! Honesty, integrity and respect is at the heart of what they do, something which is hard to find in this market. They treated us like family and we are forever grateful.

But in the end, after more than 2 months, we did not have a single visit and no updates or communication from them as well. I would not choose them again or recommend it.

Everything was clear, documented and exactly as described. Thanks Natalie for helping me find my new flat to rent and for taking me throughout the whole process from viewing, signing the contract until moving in with a calming beautiful smile. It is highly recommended.

We were first time buyers and are hugely appreciative of the honesty and guidance Paul gave us during the offer process, unlike many SW London agents! After our offer was accepted the 5 star service continued all the way through to completion where Paul was very helpful, professional and responsive in dealing with various matters. This resulted in a very smooth exchange/completion. We cannot thank Paul and Moveli enough!

18th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

This has got to be the most inept real estate service in all of Central London! I spent over half an hour standing at the property, completely ignored, with no one even bothering to open the door. The agent was nowhere to be seen—no guidance, no support, nothing for a potential tenant eager to view the property. What a colossal waste of time! And then, when all is said and done, all I got was a feeble "I do apologize." Seriously? Your apology is worthless at this point. A word of advice to anyone looking in London: steer clear of Jack Barclay Estates unless you want your time utterly wasted by the "best" renting company. Utterly disgraceful!

Do not trust that their agents can put forward your offer. They have miscommunicated with their landlord which ultimately cost us our potential flat. Do not rely on them in your search and keep your other options open. Even if they make a mistake you will be blamed for it. I would not recommend dealing with this agency.
