6th May 2024 (22 weeks ago)Initial impression was very good. We were led to believe the market was good and to give it a go at the higher end of the valuation. We were promised a premium marketing plan with professional photos and description which would justify the premium price valuation for the area. We agreed to wait 3 weeks to launch on Boxing Day being led to believe there would be several enquiries and viewing requests to hold an open house event in January. Despite having 3 weeks to prepare the marketing materials the standard was far below expectations. The photographs were poor the description omitted several of the unique selling features of our house . We were presented with the brochure the day before the deadline for the Boxing Day launch and requested several initial amendments to the description but we could not alter the photographs so I was forced to take some photos myself to be included. Following a subsequent complaint we were told that if we’re not satisfied with the marketing we were at liberty to suggest changes with no acknowledgement of the short timescale and the extremely poor standard of the initial marketing. I was later told by the sales manager that the photographs and description are not that important anyway !!! We were told that the agents would be ringing around purchasers on their books to generate interest. When we had no interest generated and asked what they had done we never received a full answer which would match what had been promised. We began to hear stories of WH Brown not getting back to potential purchasers when leaving answer phone messages and suspect ( though cannot be proven ) that this happened to us . We believe this because in a four month period an almost identical property had 7 viewings when we only had 1. When we stopped contacting the branch we heard nothing from them for a whole month at which point we submitted a formal complaint. In our experience this agency did the very minimum to sell our house. The initial confidence led us to sign a sole agency agreement which now means that if we sell to one of 3 clients they claim they introduced ( highly unlikely but not the point) They will persue a claim for 3% fee . Be very wary of signing such a contract.

Having never been involved in this type of transaction have got to say the team at Poyntons made it so easy , I found them efficient , friendly and professional and they found us a great new tenant for our office space , many thanks .- 6th Sep 2024 (30 days ago)I had a great experience with Nathaniel Wade and all other staff members, they were super helpful and hardworking throughout the way, can't recommend them enough!

We are very impresed with the service we received from the Savills Lincoln team - and specifically from Rupert (Roo) Fisher in the sale of our property. Having obtained valuations of our property from several agents it was an easy decision to choose Savills to market our property. This decision was primarily based on our interaction with Roo Fisher and how his professional manner inspired our confidence in him and Savills as an organisation that he represented. We really appreciated the fact that Roo was our key contact throughout the process. He was readily available at all times, communicated well and clearly took personal responsibility for the sale. He was comsistemtly professional, yet friendly, in his approach to the sale. Due to circumstances beyond Savills control, the sale was rather protracted. Nonetheless we had regular personal updates from Roo and advice about new marketing strategies and help in facilitating barriers to the sale. We greatly appreciated the clarity and responsiveness of communication from the entire Savills Lincoln team at all times - both by phone and by emai. Phone calls/answerphone messages were nearly always followed up by a confirmation email. What really impressed us was the fact that the entire Savills Lincoln team seemed to really know about us the property and our personal circumstances, even through we did not have the opportunity to meet them all in person, and that they genuinely had a real interest and concern in acting on our behalf. The impression we gained of how the Savills team in Lincoln function is that of a very professional, courteous, harmonious and cohesive team. They take real pride in their work and, while the sale of a house is a business transaction, they made it a very positive interactive experience for us as clients. Well done to the entire Savills Lincoln team!

5th Aug 2024 (9 weeks ago)Not professional. Estate Agent comes across as very leary. As a women on my own this is very concerning. Will not tell you when signing up - if you have to withdraw for unforseen circumstances they will charge you a withdrawal fee. They should mention this when signing up- it should be made clear. A bad experience & appalling service

26th May 2022 (2 years ago)The unique service offered by Griffin has enabled me to complete a DIY sale of my home on the Internet using national property sale platforms as if I was the website. I listed my property at 8am and by 9.30am on the same day I was receiving emails from potential purchaser's. I well know the power of the Internet, but even I was surprised by the speed of it all. The Griffin team have the power to listen and assist you, I wish to thank the person at Griffin who originated this professional service and his team for doing a great job. If I ever need to sell a home in future I will immediately use the Griffin service and have been recommending them to family and friends. Thank you.

18th Sep 2024 (18 days ago)I didn’t sell until I did the viewing the 5 viewing before they had taken the people round I don’t think they really try to sell the property just open the door and let people look, very little feedback from viewings.
18th Mar 2024 (6 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
